@lightmist:  +1!  That’s what I first thought of too, but IDK about the axe-wielding!

@Nona99:  Any articles we can read?!

@Nona99:  Eww.  What a face, lol.

I was just now reading that article on MSN, right before I came back on here.  I’ve been interested in the Mothman legend ever since that Richard Gere movie a few years ago.

Axe weilding? yikes!!

We’ve had sasquatch sightings in our area (south central PA), but nothing else too crazy. I can’t even imagine living somewhere where people were talking about seeing goatmen, lol.

@Nona99:  Goatman is freaky!  He makes me think of Krampus.

We don’t have any monsters here in Wisconsin.  We do have lots of heart disease and obesity, though.  Man I love cheese and beer…

@Nona99:  Growing up, my grandmother lived next door to my aunt on this backwoods street with scary trees that created an arch over the road.  It was super spooky, and my cousin and I used to run back and forth between the two houses. We were always getting griped at for not staying put AND for slamming the doors.

One night, as we were getting ready to run back over to our grandmas, my aunt said to us “you’d better not let that door slam. Goatman and Donkey Lady will hear it and come out of the woods.”  We were terrified and RACED to our grandmas faster than we ever had, making sure to quietly close the door behind us. “Goat Man and Donkey Lady will get you” became the go-to threat for our Grandma and my Aunt 🙂

Haha Goatman is also a thing in the area of MD where Mr. LK grew up. We didn’t have anything like that in my part of MD.
