Omg, stop reading/referencing the five love languages.  Im certain that book ruined many relationships.

That being said, if you have an issue with him having his kids 80% of the time,  which is a GOOD thing, then it’s time for you to leave.  That’s beyond selfish, he AND his kids deserve better.

andromeda99 :  Hi, yes, I read the entire thread – my point is if you start off with that verbage to your SO, he will most likely not listen to the rest. I dont mean this in a mean way, its just off putting.

andromeda99 :  I understand. I couldn’t be a stepmother, mainly because I am not ready for my own,  but have always admired those who love their nonbiological children as their own.

Have you thought of not living together until you are married? I honestly do not know if that would help, just a suggestion.

andromeda99 :  “Yet, being single sounds almost too quiet and boring and so I weight my options and I wonder if loving someone is truly enough.”

Don’t stay with this guy because you’re afraid being single will be boring. That’s an awful reason, but I’m sure you already know that.

As for the second thing you said: no, love in not enough. Sure, it sounds romantic to say it is, but life doesn’t actually work that way.
