@babybee92:  So sorry your going through your anniversary weekend alone. HUGS!!!! I completely understand. My Fiance is military and sometimes gone forever it seems like. Remember this, he probably misses you more than you miss him and Im absolutely sure he would rather be with you than out working long hours with not much sleep and in a very depressing area.

Also I applaud him for doing his job and for you being strong enough to know that those people that went through the hurricane need as much support as they can get.

WB is a great place to socialize and have fun. When you get sad or lonely come here and hang out. Dont forget your friends either because sometimes couples get wrapped up in each other and forget their friend time, so call them up and have a girls night.

@babybee92:  Of course its not okay. Its kinda like life got put on hold. I remember the first time Fiance deployed. He left for 9 months. For the first month I was kind of lost. Then I settled into a routine. The hardest of course is that you dont have anyone to share with. I tell Fiance everything, and in a war zone there isnt always internet to contact him.

I get where your coming from. So are you a waiting bee? And where are you from?

@babybee92:  Its always different when your the one waiting. However look at it like this. You know its gonna happen soon and since he has been away look how amazing its going to be when he comes home. Since he isnt home I would be flipping through every wedding site on the web and getting ideas, I always told Fiance, jokingly of course, that by the time he got around to proposing I would have our wedding planned out.

Actually what happened to us was really crappy. We were two weeks from our wedding date when he got called for deployment. He got the news on Wednesday and had to leave on Friday morning. Didnt even have time to run to the justice of the peace since it takes three days to get a marriage license here. So I literally had to cancel everything. It was seriously depressing.

I cried for a month after that. But I got over it eventually and now it will be much sweeter.

@babybee92:  ohhh I feel your pain! I haven’t seen my Darling Husband in 6 weeks… he’s in London working & preparing for our 2nd reception. I won’t be there for another 5 weeks & it sucks big time to be apart… ESP post-wedding :[

I work odd hours & my friends are all busy with their SOs and I feel a little disconnected from my social scene at the minute so when I’m just stuck at home alone I come on WB and it helps the time pass sooooo much!

There is a lot of fun to be had here so join in! ESP cuz you’re still in your planning stage and that is something I used to fill my time with but now I miss tremendously! lol

@babybee92:  there is a new date set. April of 2013. While he was gone on the deployment I literally planned out everything. I created a book, since I tossed out the previous one. I started a new one. I literally changed everything and Im actually happier with my ideas now.

I probably would have loved the first wedding because I would actually be married now, but now with the deployment and him home I could really relax and just plan. I changed my mind a million different times but him being gone gave me so much time that I just filled up my book.

Then when he came home we just started tossing out the ideas that wouldnt work and keeping the ones that did.

What kind of wedding do you want or do you want a theme or no theme?

@babybee92:  Oh fabulous! Well we’ve been back and forth over the last 7 years and I loooove London and thought I’d want to live there so I got a work visa & we tried it out for about 9 months but I am a Cali girl at heart and I missed my family and the sunshine/beach and he loves CA as well so we’re planning on ending up in CA.

There is some paperwork pending on his Visa so if things go well, he’ll be here in January but if they go the other way, I’ll move there and we’ll spend a year or two in London (so I can get residency) and eventually move to the US when we have some babies… We really want them to have dual citizenship to keep our options open but I’m pretty sure my family would disown me if I had my babies away from home! lol

N. Ireland must have been fun! Did you study abroad there?!

@babybee92:  No theme. Now that I think about it, Im so glad we didnt marry before. It was Alaska and it is cold most of the time. We live in Texas so we opted for a small bed and breakfast that has a beautiful 100 year old oak tree where we will have our ceremony. Its a really small gathering of 40 people.

Our colors are crimson and silver. Food is going to be simple fare. We would actually elope but our kiddos wanted us to have a wedding and include them.

The area you live in is beautiful in the fall. Im from Tennessee originally, so I know how nice it is there.

I wouldnt worry about the pintrest followers, your in good company here.

@babybee92:  Awwww I’m sorry to hear that Sandy has caused you two to be apart for so long! She’s definitely wreaked havoc on lives in a lot of ways. I live in NJ and saw the devastation (luckily we only lost power for a week). If it makes you feel any better we REALLY appreaciate his efforts and the time he and his company are putting into helping out those that lost so much. Me and my Fiance drove down to MD to stay with my mom when we lost electricity, an we saw countless electirical company trucks driving north to NJ/NY as we headed south on 95. They were coming from all over to help and it warmed my heart.

I hope he is sent back to you soon!!! *hugs*
