It is VERY hard to find not on the internet. I only saw one before we bought mine, and it was one of the last ones at Sears, and on clearance.

Why won’t he buy it on the internet? Is he afraid of internet fraud? Or just afraid he won’t like it without seeing it? (moissaniteco has a GREAT return policy. And many bees on here have ordered very successfully from them.)

There are a few stores that carry it. You could try calling some of the name brands stores and see what they have.

A lot of cards do virtual numbers – basically he goes ahead and figures out the total cost, then can go online and request a virtual number and give it the amount he will spend.

It’s basically a ‘one time use’ card, so it prevents issues.

I’ve had both of my cards stolen, including thousands of dollars in charges, and it hasn’t stopped me from buying online. Depending on the company, I use the virtual card if I feel uncomfortable.

Hmm Alot of stores dont carry them, but I would call around to your local jeweler and see if any of them have a moissy selection.

hm…moissanite is hard to find on the outside. I’ve seen some at Jc Penny’s but the quality wasn’t that great. Helzberg Diamonds had them for a while. I don’t know if they do or not.

Have you shown them all of the positive reviews about moissaniteco.com on this website?

Personally, I wouldn’t purchase a moissanite that’s at the retail stores right now. The ones at Jc Penny’s looked green.

Call your local jeweler–not a chain store!  They may not keep them in stock but if you choose a setting, they will order a moissanite for you to set into it.  You can also ask to see the stone before it’s set to make sure that it’s what you want.

Also tell your bf that I buy everything over the internet and the only time my card has been stolen was when I used it to send a drunk friend home with a cab–the cab driver cleaned me out.

The only national retailers I know of that sell Moissanite are Kohl’s and JC Penney’s.  I agree with Miss Tattoo that the ones at Penney’s looked a bit greenish.  But I looked a few years ago — they may have improved since then.

I like the idea of putting fthe cash on a one time Visa/Mastercard kind of thing.

I forgot about Khols too! I didn’t even know about Khols until I went in and they were having a sale on them. Again, the quality wasn’t that great. You could def tell a difference between my moissanite and their moissanite. I don’t know if the retailers are carrying old moissanite or if they are keeping their shipments fresh, but there is a difference.

(oh, oops. I meant JCPenny was where I saw mine, but yeah, it was kind of greenish, cuz it was one of the older ones that were made earlier.)

My Fi bought my ring from Blue Nile and used a bank wire. I don’t think it was a security issue for him, he just wanted the discount but that might be an option.

@QuinnLynn7: Awesome! That’s what I did on moissaniteco.com I created an account with a wish list and then he would log in every once in a while. Once he noticed the same three rings stayed on the wishlist no matter how much adding and taking away I did, he moved on it. He picked the one I really wanted too. Well, the three that I picked all had the top rating to pick when you put them on your wishlist. Good luck! Can’t wait to see pics!
