LOL, so Boyfriend or Best Friend and I were working on the couch the other night and I had weddingbee up and he asked me what it was and why I was on it…Mind you, we’ve been having serious discussions about everything but yea it was a bit embarassing. I told him that I originally started going on around my best friend’s wedding (I was her MOH) and just liked to read the posts (which is pretty true, but now I’m a waiting bee, too!)
He then looked over my shoulder a bit later and was like “you’re on weddingbee again! I recognize the green background” … oops, it may be too early to let him in on how obsessed I’ve been in thinking about weddings yet (mind you, with him, I really don’t care about the wedding as being with him, but I still want one :-D)
Oh, boys, just don’t understand…

Same thing happened to me……. now anytime I pickup my laptop he asks if I’m on “the bee website” lol

I joined weddingbee because I was DYING to talk to people about weddings without annoying the heck out of my friends (who are single so I’m sure it’s not their favourite topic). I’ve joined many other forums, but WB seems the most active, the most friendly and the most fun. =)

They get used to it and even get curious about it. 🙂 Most shouldn’t care though, I wouldn’t think. I mean, it’s where we get our crazy thoughts out (whether it’s your waiting or planning ideas or whatever.)

Haha! I hide a lot fo my wedding internet stuff from my Boyfriend or Best Friend view because I don’t want the questions, but I don’t think he would care.
Don’t worry, you are allowed to read about weddings and planning inspiration, etc. Plus, the more we look at and read online, it helps to keep our minds off talking to our men about it. Men do not like pestering about anything wedding related.
If he asks, just be honest. I would tell my man that I like to hear about others wedding experiences so that I am better prepared for marriage (even if I am not getting married super soon), get the support of other bees, get questions answered, and just curious about marriage since I am in my 20’s.

I’m just as guilty as your bf. My fiancee has been obsessed with the weddingbee boards for months and I always catch her on it when she should be doing something else. I never understood why until now. Clearly I couldn’t stay away 😉

Because I have no life.
It was mostly because I needed an outlet for my waiting angst. Since then, I’ve just really grown to love this community. And maybe it’s a sign that I’ve been on here too much, but there are certain Bees whose personalities I’ve come to recognize, and I love the amount of support on here.

I love that he recognized thbackground!
My SO even asks, “So, did anyone from weddingbee get engaged?”
SO calls it my website. “You’re on your website again aren’t you?” Or “have you been on your website today?” Yes, now hurry up and propose!
Not that I have any idea what that is like….. *oops*!

I found Weddingbee when I was waiting and my SO knew that I was on a wedding forum. He was just relieved that I had an outlet for my wedding brain. =)

Because my friends are tired of hearing me whine about waiting, lol! Most of my friends are married or engaged, and the few that aren’t yet aren’t in a hurry. No one understands me except for you ladies 🙂

Haha – Sounds like he’s totally curious about it if he was looking over your shoulder! Sounds like he was doing it in good humour, though.
My Boyfriend or Best Friend is actually happy I’m on Weddingbee because he likes that I’m part of a community of like-minded people (which means he has to hear less of my wedding-obsessedness, haha!).
In all seriousness, since you guys have been talking about getting married, it’s not unreasonable for you to be on here! It’s a supportive place to get information and opinions and bounce ideas off people who care about weddings as much as you do!

@scottsouth: I think she may have just been joking about the situation with that line 🙂
