I was wondering if any of you have stories of testing a day or two before AF and getting a BFN… BUT then getting a BFP later?
I tested today (Sunday) with a BFN and expecting AF on Tuesday. I am still hoping I could be preggers… so just looking for some encouraging stories =)

@Sbee82: It’s possible that you ovulated late and will still get a positive. Here is a link of statistical analysis of people who use Fertility Friend to chart temperatures:

Like the chart above indicates, what matters more than how close to AF you are, is how far past ovulation you are. The further past ovulation, the more likely the test will be correct. But if your luteal phase is short (like 9-11 days,) that will make it harder to get pregnant (as the egg won’t have much time to implant,) but then you might not get a positive until like the day you expect AF, as opposed to if your luteal phase is like 14 or 15 days, you are much more likely to get a correct result a couple days before AF.

I wouldn’t lose hope. I was 17DPO (3-4 days late) before I got a +. I tested at 13 and 15DPO as well and got negatives. I was charting and knew when I ovulated, but still didn’t get a + until then!

I am holding on to hope for this cycle… I guess I will find out this week! Fingers crossed. =)
