a little background- just went through my first medicated IUI cycle. Gave myself an ovidrel shot on 8/29 and had the IUI done on 8/31.
This morning which was 16 dptrigger and 14 dpiui (about 4am/ 5 hr hold) I took an hpt and it was positive. Then I began to freak out that it was an evap line since it was a blue dye test. I took a FRER at 7:30 (about a 3 hr hold) And it was positive immediately, In fact I told my husband before the timer went off.
I think I’m having trouble believing it’s actually positive and not leftover from the trigger, since we’ve been trying for 16 months. I go in for a blood test to confirm- I know I should just wait until then but I’m freaKing out.

That looks very positive!! Congrats! Report back tomorrow

EmileeC: That is amazing news! Congrats to you and your DH!

If your trigger was 16 days ago, this should be the real thing! Its pretty dark too. If it was “leftover” from the trigger, this many days later I doubt it would still be that dark!

Congrats. This gives me hope!

EmileeC: No way is that the trigger at 14dpiui. Everybody is different with when the trigger leaves their system, but my RE has always said 14dpiui is safe. If it was the trigger it would be way lighter than that too. I got my first positive at 10dpiui and I tested the trigger out at 8dpiui. Congratulations!
