On May 12th, I received my first BFP – then about a month later, I naturally miscarried. We took a month off from trying – Doctors orders.
This past month, life was busy, did not BD very much and I would have paid money that AF would show up yesterday.
Well since we were planning on scalloping in the ocean yesterday, I felt I should make sure I wasn’t pregnant (just in case) because I knew everyone would want to drink a few beers on the boat, and then drink some more later in the day while cleaning scallops.
The ONLY reason I though pregnancy *might* be possible was because I had heart burn which is NOT normal for me.
I took a pregnancy first thing in the morning – and immediately I got this:
I said to the hubby (while he was still laying in bed) “Guess what!” “What” “I’m pregnant”. I talk over to him and he’s smiling from ear to ear. 🙂
Needless to say – we are very happy, but cautious. I’m trying not to let me self get too excited – I’m not downloading the baby apps quite just yet, and trying hard not to pull up those baby websites. Just trying to live life like normal and hope everything goes well this time.
I took another one this morning just to make sure!! (still positive!)

Congratulations! I’m in the same boat…miscarried in June and am about 4 weeks 2 days pregnant now. It’s so hard not to get ahead of yourself and get too excited. Try to stay positive (easier said than done, I know!)

Congratulations! So happy for you!!!! The same thing happened for me… I got pregnant again the first cycle we tried after a miscarriage at 7 weeks (we took one month off per doctor’s orders). I’m now 21-22 weeks and not about to take any of this for granted! I feel so lucky to be pregnant again.
My sister stopped me from saying things like, “If this baby sticks” or “If things work out” – she didn’t feel it was healthy and wanted me to be excited. Banning talk like that really helped me. It’s scary to let yourself hope again, but I think it’s worth it. Just take it one day at a time… it does get easier as you pass various milestones (like when you had the last mc).
Hugs! Hope you have a happy & healthy 9 months!

I am totally with you on the cautious, but staying positive for you, and hoping for a healthy, sticky baby!
