Have to update here too! How did I forget this yesterday??

Quick TTC background: We got engaged in November and my BC prescription was about to run out. I had been having some issues with it so we discussed going off it altogether. Since I was almost 33 and would be almost 34 at our wedding and I have auto-immune issues, we thought it best to start trying sooner than later.

How / When did you find out: I started spotting at 7 DPO which is normal for me prior to AF so I thought I was out. At 14DPO I was still just lightly spotting but thought AF was just slow to arrive. At 16DPO I still didn’t have AF fully, just light spotting so I figured I should take a test. Lo and behold it was positive right away.

How did you / will you tell SO: As soon as the second line showed up I started freaking out, omg, omg, omg, ran downstairs to grab my phone and call SO at work. I couldn’t possibly wait to tell him when he got home. I had mentioned to him the night before that AF still hadn’t fully arrived and we just kind of shrugged it off, he knew I was spotting too so we both thought nothing of it. I said “remember how I said my period hadn’t arrived yet? well…. I just took a test, and I’m pregnant!” He was like “WHAT?” He is so excited, he spent the rest of the day coming up with boy names because obv it’s going to be a boy lol…

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): We really took a laid back approach. My cycles were pretty consistent and I knew I was ovulating based on the changes in my body after CD14. Knowing that, we just BD’d when we felt like it. I did start taking a multi-vitamin for auto-immunity this month to try and get my LP to lengthen, thinking that the spotting each month was a symptom of a short LP and that we’d have trouble based on that. I don’t know if it was that or the BD timing, but whatever it was, it worked!

Cycles Trying: 5

Anything new this cycle: Just the multi-vitamin, which I didn’t even take every day, and I guess more BD during the fertile window.

Symptoms: NONE! I thought for sure AF was on her way. But looking back now, I’m pretty sure i implanted on CD7, I felt a twinge and thought to myself Ooh Implantation? But the spotting was normal for me so I didn’t think it was IB. I also had sore breasts but that’s a typical post O symptom for me. It went away around 12 DPO.

Quick TTC background: We weren’t even trying but not really avoiding 100%. We’ve been charting NFP since last October and have been using condoms whenever we were in Phase 2. We were planning on starting TTC in a year but surprise!

How / When did you find out: About an hour ago but I had a hunch, see symptoms. BFP today at 11 DPO

How did you / will you tell SO: I sent him a text with a pic of the BFP saying “Happy Belated Father’s Day… Told you I knew something was up. He had know I had gotten 2 BFN last week (too early!).

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): Symptothermal charting including CM and BBT. I also started PN pills in April.

Cycles Trying: One but this was the first try

Anything new this cycle: Fluctuation, very good EWCM and watery CM right around O. We joked we could get a girl if we BD a few days before O. I knew the BD timing was right because I’ve been charting since October and I’m pretty regular.

Symptoms: Very sore breasts, I’ve had mild cramping. Had spotting last Thursday, which was 6 DPO. Tested negative on Wednesday and Friday (wanted to make sure it was ok to drink at the winery but it was too early). Starting last Monday, my allergies went up. Friday and especially Saturday, I had allergies from hell and I’ve never had these before in my life so I was pretty sure my immune system was compromised by something (thank you grad school immunobiology class). What took the cake was the YI I discovered yesterday. I haven’t had one in over a year and there hadn’t been anything different. Dead giveaway for me that I needed to test. Last symptom was my BBT came back up (see chart) after it had dipped. Hello Implantation dip!

Quick TTC background: I have been ready to TTC for a while now and DH just got on board. We talked about it quick a bit and were NTNT for the past 4-5 months or so and just moved to TTC last cycle. (I didn’t rush him.) He ALWAYS joked and said that he was “potent”…. I guess so!

How / When did you find out: This morning with FMU. AF was due today and I havent had any symptoms so I had a feeling, but wasn’t sure.

How did you / will you tell SO: I’ll tell him tonight. DH is an avid CL searcher so I took a page from @Kamielynn’s page and made a jokeCL post. :o)

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): This was the first full month charting. We just happened to time out BDing right. I was taking prenatals and stopped when I heard they might have been the reason I wasn’t ovulating. And I guess it worked. I’m taking them again, not that I’m KU.

Cycles Trying: 2 Officially

Anything new this cycle: A Bee mentioned there were ladies who blamed Spring Valley prenatals for their lack of ovulating. I stoped taking them at the beginning of this cycle and I guess that seemed to do the trick!

Symptoms: None. I have random… I call them spasm like feelings in the center of my belly. But besides that, nothing.

Quick TTC background: DH and I have been TTC since January. It now being the end of June, we were starting to feel defeated. DH had a SA a couple weeks ago which was abnormal – very low morphology score. I’ve been having a short LP of 8-10 days. Bummed us out. I figured we’d start DH on some vitamins and hope that in a few months his swimmers would be strong enough to get the job done. In the meantime, I just scheduled an US for the end of July as the first test in our effort to discover why we weren’t pregnant yet. I guess I can cancel that appointment. πŸ™‚

How / When did you find out: Today, 9dpo. I took an OSOM test this morning which was negative. I tossed it in the trash and went about my day. For whatever reason, I dug it out of the trash tonight and saw a line! I figured it was an evap, but a bee convinced me to think otherwise, so I POAS with dilute evening pee, and got a faint but definite line on another OSOM, a wondfo, and a FRER! I finally believed it enough then to tell DH. πŸ™‚

How did you / will you tell SO: Told DH after going back to look at the sticks a half dozen times. The lines were still there! I gave him a daddy parenting book, a couple onesies with an engineering theme, and threw a pee stick at him. πŸ™‚

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): I charted, and was on B6, RRLT, and EPO for my short LP. Had also recently started Pregnitude at my OB/GYN’s suggestion. BD’d EOD for the most part.

Cycles Trying: Cycle 5 was the one!

Anything new this cycle: BDing EOD instead of mostly ED during FW. Considering DH’s mild male factor, maybe that’s what did it!

Symptoms: None! It’s hard to believe it’s real when I don’t feel any different!

Picture of the two beautiful lines:

The OSOM is definitely the most obvious! I highly recommend them! The Wondfo is second easiest to see, and surprisingly the FRER was the faintest!

@bananasareyellow:  Yay!!! Congratulations!!! I think you are the first March mama-to-bee on the boards. I’m due February 27th, but I think I might be watching both boards as this little peanut can make it’s debut either month. :o)
