I’m bored so I’ll play πŸ™‚

Quick TTC background: I have a 10 month old daughter. We were NTNP since she was born. ( We both wanted another ASAP.) I got my first PP cycle in April and got pregnant the next cycle. Quicker than we thought it would happen, but a good surprise.

How / When did you find out: At 9 DPO I took a test with a cheapie and if I held a light at just the right angle I thought I could see a hint of a line. I took 3 more and they were all the same. I went and bought a box of FRER, one regular and one digital. I took the regular and also got the squintest of squinties. So I held off telling my husband so I could take the digi with FMU. Took the digi at 10dpo and it said Yes.

How did you / will you tell SO: At 430am ( haha ) when dd woke up for a feed, I put her in this tshirt I got that said I’m the big sister. I sat her on the bed and asked DH to look at her, she wanted to show him something. He was super annoyed at it was so early and he was up really late. I got my phone out and turned the flashlight on and was shining it on the shirt. He started looking in her mouth ( she didn’t have any teeth yet haha) I said you’re looking too high and he finally noticed the shirt. He was excited but feel back asleep pretty quick. Then like 10 mins later he was like, “I guess we need another nursery.” haha.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): Temped and OPK’s also took B6, B Complex, Coq10. Tried to only breastfeed 3-4 times a day.

Cycles Trying: only 2 actual cycles PP

Anything new this cycle:

Symptoms: My nipples hurt like heck when I breastfeed. That’s it.

Picture of the two beautiful lines: I’m on my computer and they’re on my phone so won’t post them.

I’ll play! I’m too nervous to join the Feb babies board just yet but there’s no denying that I got a bfp regardless of the future.

Quick TTC background: I had been having issues with my bcp so the hubby and I decided I would go off of it to confirm that was what was causing everything. We said we would use other forms of protection yet I really didn’t want to use condoms. So, we settled on the pull out method knowing our chances of an accident were greater but we’d be ok with it. Well, after ONE horribly failed attempt at it, we decided we needed to talk about how serious we were about “being ok with an accident”. lol. We ended up agreeing that we would not attempt to prevent but we also wouldn’t be charting or timing bd for my fertile week. First cycle off BC was 29 days and once AF arrived, I realized that I really wanted to be pregnant more than I thought! Within a week we moved to the fully TTC mode! It was crazy. Within a month we went from, not trying at all, NTNP, to full blown TTC. I got my bfp on my 2nd cycle off bcp!

How / When did you find out:

I wasn’t sure when AF was due so I went ahead and took an FRER (mid day–what was I thinking??) at 10dpo. It looked pretty stark white at first, even held it up in the light then threw it away. I got back into the computer room and just started crying. All of the sudden, something said to me, “You didn’t even wait the whole time! If you’re only 10dpo, it most likely won’t show up within the minute you looked at it”. So I went back in there and sure enough there was the faintest of faint lines. I cried more! I wasn’t sure how long it had been and was nervous it was an evap line (I’m guilty of taking the test apart) so decided to wait and confirm the next day. (longest night of my life) Woke up on CD11 and another BFP showed up…much quicker and thicker this time!

How did you / will you tell SO:

I’m almost 99.9% positive we conceived over Memorial Day weekend while on vacation at Jeju Island (we live in South Korea and it’s an island south of there). So, I wrote on an envelope, “I think we may have brought back a little something extra from Jeju” with the test inside. It was super sweet and he just kept saying, “are you serious”? “Are you joking”? “Is this for real”? haha

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.):

Charting but mostly temps. My cm and OPKS were not kind to me this cycle. They confused the bejeezuz out of me. I did do the lying down thing…usually only for 10 min or so.

Cycles Trying: 1.5 lol

Anything new this cycle:

Charting! Didn’t do it the 1st cycle since we were already in my fertile window when we decided to actively TTC.

Symptoms:

I got a nasty cold around 3dpo as well as what I thought was a yeast infection…I know that’s WAY to early…but there’s no denying it’s a little bit of a coincidence. I’ve mostly just had some back pain, few cramps, slightly tender breasts but they mostly just feel more full and firm and headaches. The thing that really convinced me I might be pregnant was I just felt TOTALLY different than I do before AF arrives. I usually have this monster that lives inside of me the week prior to AF and it just wasn’t there this past week…lol….

Link to your pregnant chart (if you have one):

I stopped charting at 8dpo because I was stressing myself out with my temps.

Picture of the two beautiful lines:

Well, I’m super paranoid and have already taken 4 tests πŸ˜‰ sorry that it’s massive..don’t know how to fix it.

Quick TTC background: This was the 2nd month that my husband and I actually tried to get pregnant, but I was very worried because we had not used protection in the past 4 years. We only used the withdrawl method and of course there were a few times we didn’t pull out over the years. So I was kind of convinced there was something wrong with one of us because I never got pregnant in those 4 years. But I guess there wasn’t and I give the withdraw method an A+ as birth control lol.

How / When did you find out:

I took a FRER at 9 DPO and there was a super faint second line. I was pretty convinced at this point, but I can’t lie…I kept testing every single day until the “pregnant” line was as dark as the control line. And then I confirmed again with a digital test!

How did you / will you tell SO:

The second I saw the faint line at 9 DPO, I started shaking and crying and I woke him up and told him! I’m pretty sure he thought I was crazy with such a pathetic line lol but now he definitely knows and he is so happy! There’s no way I could have kept that to myself to do something cute and creative, but I wish I had that will power!

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.):

I used OPKs, but I think what got the job done was that we did it every single day, sometimes multiple times a day before I ovulated. After ovulation, we did it every other day just in case. I’m so thankful my husband is a champion and was able to preform like that lol πŸ™‚

Cycles Trying: 2

Anything new this cycle:

Just the fact that we BD’d so much. Oh, and we used Preseed as well!

Symptoms:

I felt like I had a terrible hangover at 8 DPO, which is what led me to test early at 9 DPO. I felt sick with a headache and nausea the first 4-5 days that I knew I was pregnant but since then I have felt normal/good. I do have sore boobs and am getting blue veins on them. I am very tired all the time, but besides that I feel great.

I love that this thread is still going! I’m excited to add a new entry. Hopefully this is our rainbow baby.

Quick TTC background: We’ve been TTC for a year and a half with little luck, one miscarriage at 8 weeks a year ago and last month I had a chemical.
How / When did you find out: I found out yesterday after a few days of consistently high temps and tender boobs and pre-af spotting went away, plus I just had a feeling.
How did you / will you tell SO: It’s been a struggle for us so I just told him. He is very cautiously optimistic but I don’t think he believes it yet. I have blood work today so hopefully all will be good there.
TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): Charting, prenatals, CoQ10, eating super clean, lying down after BD
Cycles Trying: this is #18
Anything new this cycle: Just been consistent with eating clean, started prenatals and CoQ10 which is recommended for egg health.
Symptoms: some twinges here and there down low, mildly tender boobs, hot flashes
