Quick TTC background: This was our second cycle TTC. I used a fertility tracker app, two actually (Pink Pad and Ovia) to predict my fertile window and then tried to BD EOD during the window until I saw EWCM then we BD everyday for three days.

How / When did you find out: I found out yesterday morning. DH and I were on our last day of holidays and had just gotten back from camping. I didn’t feel pregnant and was actually pretty bummed but I was 12 DPO so I decided to test anyway just in case and walla! two pink lines! my line was actually darker than the control line 🙂 I just stared in disbelief and I started shaking!

How did you / will you tell SO: I had bought a “dad” mug at fathers day and have had it hidden in my underwear drawer since then lol but still, when I saw those two pink lines it took all of my strength not to just run out and show him! It seemed like the coffee took FOREVER to brew that morning but as soon as it finished I poured him a cup and handed it to him in the mug. He didn’t really catch on at first and tried to crack a joke about me being pregnant without realizing that, that is what I was telling him haha. He was like “dad? haha is there something you are not telling me!?” and I said “noo…there is something I AM telling you!” lol it was pretty cute, he just couldn’t believe it.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): Have been taking prenatal vitamins and omega-3 fish oil since March. Tracked my fertile window with fertility and period tracker then BD EOD during fertile window and tried to lay down with my bum propped up for 10-15 minutes afterwards.

Cycles Trying: 2

Anything new this cycle: Just better timing

Symptoms: Very little for symptoms so far. AF like cramps on and off and sore breasts, thats about it.

Quick TTC background: I’m 31, my husband is 30 in a week. I got off the pill last June. It took my system a little bit to get regular, but nothing was crazy out of whack. We tried for over a year before getting our BFP. I just had a HSG for me and SA for my husband this month. We were considering fertility meds when I got pregant. My doctor had told my my CD 21 progesterone was too low (though the RE thought it was ok).

How / When did you find out: About 8-9dpo. 8/22/14

How did you / will you tell SO: I was shaking in the bathroom and the line was faint. So I wasn’t 100%, but I was pretty damn convinced. So I ran and got a card I’d been hiding for awhile. I wrote “Happy 30th Birthday!” on the envelope. Then I walked out and told him I had an early birthday present for him. The card said “You’re having a baby!* *scared shitless yet?” And inside I wrote “You’re going to be a daddy! Baby Owens will be due May 7th” He thought it was a prank at first. LOL He wasn’t convinced by the faint line, so we ran out and got digitals.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): I did OPKs, charted CM/CP, took Pregnitude, previous months tried the lying down after but not this month.

Cycles Trying: 14

Anything new this cycle: I had a HSG this cycle. I really think that is what did the trick!!<br />

Symptoms: Fuller breasts, vivid dreams, massive headaches, pinching in uterus

I love reading all these stories. I may or may not have just read all 17 pages…

Two things I noticed:

1) I’m shocked how many people used charting or pull-out as a method of birth control. I’ve never heard of such a thing! I wouldn’t trust that at all, but it seemed to work for some of you!

2) I’m also totally shocked how many people got pregnant on their first or second cycle trying. Wow! It gives me hope (and makes me sort of nervous) 🙂

Quick TTC background: We started trying last month (August), but timing was way off because DH was having ‘performance anxiety’ (i.e. he got freaked out when I bought pre-seed and then had a hard time *ahem* doing the BD because he felt too much pressure).  This time around we literally did it once on my ovulation day (according to FF), and bam.

How / When did you find out: I decided yesterday (Sept 16th) to POAS mid-afternoon, even though I told myself I’d wait until my period was late (period is due today or tomorrow, according to FF).  I was getting ready to take a shower and thought, “what the heck… let’s see what happens).  I used a blue dye test and turns out some people think they’re unreliable, so I went out and bought a FRER.  I tested again this morning at 7:30am, and there they were… the double pink lines.

How did you / will you tell SO: I told my DH that I bought a FRER to try in the morning, and then I had to confess that I had done a blue dye test that came out positive, so I needed to double-check.  We both just stood there grinning, and then he hugged me. He’s just as excited/nervous as I am 🙂  We was with me when I tested this morning, and we hugged and kissed when we saw the pink line.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.):  I’ve been taking pre-natal vitamins since February. I did try OPKs last cycle, but I realized that I was just making things too complicated when we hadn’t even tried yet.  I think that’s also what added to DH’s anxiety.

Cycles Trying: This is our 2nd.

Anything new this cycle: More relaxed about trying to concieve.  My dad passed away on Aug 30th so our minds were elsewhere, I think.

Symptoms: None.  Unless you count the fact that my boobs usually get really sore a week before my period (so they should’ve started feeling sore around Sept 11th), but they are only now starting to feel a little bit sore.

I can’t believe I can finally post here!

Quick TTC background:  I am 28 – DH is 33. We have been trying since June 2013.  My cycles were very long – average of 48 days.  In 15 months I’ve had 11 cycles and only ovulated in 9 of them. In Jan – April 2014 I drank Fertilitea hoping it would shorten my cycles/balance my hormones.  I was diagnosed with unbalanced hormones in April 2014 after having extremely light periods and mid cycle spotting. I also had an ultrasound done in April and it looked good and ovulation was confirmed.  In June 2014 I started taking Indole-3-Carbinol (400 mg per day) and my cycle shortened significantly! This cycle would have been only 31 days!

How / When did you find out: After work on 12 DPO I picked up some tests (thanks to the bees on the 6+ month board talking about testing early)…and when I was putting them away I noticed I still had a walmart cheapie and decided to test. There was a line so I quickly used a FRER and finally…my BFP!

How did you / will you tell SO: I told my DH last night. He was convinced I was pregnant – he says I smelled different and I was acting different (I had a feeling but was too scared to read into it) so I thought he wouldn’t be too surprised.  Anyway I found a box that the pregnancy tests fix perfectly in, and when he came home I told him I had a present for him. He opened the box – stared at the tests – hugged me and started tearing up.  Then he started pacing and listing everything that needs to be done before baby arrives.  It was so cute.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.):  Charting, prenatals, Indole-3-Carbinol, lying down after BD during fertile window.

Cycles Trying:  15 months but this was cycle 11.

Anything new this cycle: Nothing specific – but this would have been the shortest cycle I’ve ever had (only 31 days!)

Symptoms: Sore breasts (left more than right LOL), fatigue, extreme thirst, less acne than if AF was going to show.
