How / When did you find out:  This weekend – February 16th!  I waited until 15 DPO since the test I took at 12 DPO was stark white.  The dollar store test showed a pink line almost immediately but just to be sure I also used a FRER – another positive!

How did you / will you tell SO:  I told my husband I had something to show him and then asked if he could see ok (early in the morning, he didn’t have his contacts in yet).  He didn’t really know what he was looking at but quickly figured it out.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.):  I’ve been using OPK’s for 5 or 6 months.  The last two months I also used a soft cup after BDing.  I took Mucinex during the fertile windom but I don’t know that I noticed any difference. BD’d on O-5, O-3, O-2, O-1 and O.

Cycles Trying:  This was our 6th trying after about 4 NTNP.

Anything new this cycle:  2nd month using softcups.

Symptoms:  Too Much Information – but I had looser stools from about 8DPO – 13DPO.  This was really unusual for me.  I also have sore breasts and mild cramping, but feels about the same as it would before AF.

Link to your pregnant chart (if you have one):  No chart for me.

Picture of the two beautiful lines:  I don’t have a picture but both the dollar store test and the FRER had very dark lines!

@MademoiselleL  Google softcups or diva cups and you’ll be able to see what they look like.  They are pretty much a plastic ring/cup that you use instead of a tampon to catch blood during your period.  I had read on a few posts on here and another site that women had been using them right after having sex and several had gotten pregnant that month.  The idea is that the soft cups holds or keeps the semen up near the cervix where it needs to be.  I figured it couldnt hurt so gave it a try – and BFP!

If any of the other bees have links to the other posts that were discussing the soft cups please feel free to post them.

Edit – I should add that soft cups are one use/disposable where as I believe Diva cups are washable/reusable.  I’d use the soft cups for conception purposes.  I believe they were around $12 for a package of 12 or 18 at Walgreens.

@linzeelou:  Ok thanks!  I use the Diva cup already for my period.  Maybe I could try it for TTC – never even thought of it.  It is reusable but you can wash it by boiling it.  It’s pretty easy Smile

Quick TTC background: I’m a VERY lucky girl, cycle 2 off the BC pill and got my first BFP

How/When did you find out:  Found out Monday, Feb 25th took a FRER in the morning and don’t even know why because I was convinced AF was coming!

How did you / will you tell SO: DH was out of town till this weekend and couldn’t wait any longer so I facetimed him last night, AMAZING response.  I didn’t come out and say I was preggers just that I took 3 positive pregnancy tests in the past few days and it took him a minute to process it and he started screaming and laughing.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): I started charting this month just to get to know my body but have not been consistent at all, used the Baby Time Saliva Ovulation Test to see when I was ovulating and BAM!

Cycles Trying:  2

Anything new this cycle:  Baby Time Saliva Ovulation Test

Symptoms: The cramps are becoming different; it feels like a needle in my uterus versus an overall generalized pain and my boobs are super tender but nothing different than when expecting AF

Quick TTC background:

In January we decided we should TTC because we expect to be movingand didnt want to be TTC and finding a new job etc. So we hoped we would get pregnant before we had to move.

I am pretty darn sure it was a Valentines Baby based on the timing

How / When did you find out:

I took a test 27th right before I drove my DH to the airport. It was not reading anything the first minute so I left it on the counter. When I came back 20 minutes later after the airport it had a definate, but light line. I took more tests and they all had faint lines.

The lovely ladies here told me to take a digital, so I did and it was a positive!

How did you / will you tell SO:

I planned this so perfectly… Not. I called him after the first one, while he was in security at the airport, to tell him I “think” I am pregnant. He made fun of me for the announcement Undecided. He is still away so I still havent seen him

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.):

I charrted one month only, took one OPK only (it came in the mail and the first test as positive).

may have gone to the bathroom after BDing and spend a few minutes with my legs in the air Embarassed just in case it helped.

Cycles Trying:

1-2, one cycle off BC I guess we tried but I didnt know how to read signs etc. it was just pased on average since I wasnt charting. 1 “real” cycle trying with charting.

Anything new this cycle:

charting.

Symptoms:

Seems I had implantation spotting and a bit of nasuea. I am 4 weeks today.

Oh yeah! I also got my first ever cold sore which apparently is semi common for people who get pregnant. It spurs on the dormant virus because of hormones.

Link to your pregnant chart (if you have one):

I do, but I never really finished it and I skipped some temps so its a mess.

Congrats to all of the BFP ladies!  I am so excited to be a part of this thread.

Quick TTC background: NTNT and trying to regulate cycles since November 2011.  Actively TTC for 2 cycles.

How/When did you find out:  Today!  My chart looked promising and I was going to try to resist until Monday, but so glad I decided to test early.  I am only 11 DPO.

How did you / will you tell SO: I took the test while DH was in the shower.  He takes the longest showers ever.  I almost burst waiting for him to get out.  I said, “your boys can swim!” and showed him the test.

TTC strategy (charting, OPKs, supplements, lying down after BD, etc.): The hardest part was regulating my cycles.  I went from March – August of last year without a period, and finally had my dr. prescribe Provera.  I have hypothyroidism so I’m on a synthroid.  I was on pre-natals, fish oil, b-complex, vitex, and vitamin D supplements.  We BD’d 0-1 and 0-4 this cycle.  I actually thought I had O’d 2 weeks prior due to a positive OPK, so luckily our timing was pretty good without being planned.

Cycles Trying:  2

Anything new this cycle:  Vitex, vitamin D, B complex – all added January 21st.

Symptoms: I felt a little moody this week and actually picked a fight with DH last night.  Nothing at all different than normal AF.
