First time poster, long time lurker here! DH and I were married in October and have been TTC since the honeymoon with no luck! I caved and went to see the doctor last month and she did a full work up on me and said everything was normal. Fast forward to this morning… I’m supposed to get AF tomorrow and had one last FRER left so figured, what the heck, might as well use it except that I was so tired I messed up the test and it came up inconclusive.
I just had a weird feeling about it, so went out and bought 3 digitals. I tried to hold as long as I could (3 hrs?) and… I got a BFP!!! I couldn’t believe it, so took another one about an hour after that, but now it says negative. I’m so conflicted since I really want to tell Darling Husband tonight when he gets home from work, but don’t want to tell him if it’s a false alarm.
Could the BFN be since it wasn’t FMU? Should I go ahead and tell him tonight?? Fingers crossed this is the real deal!

I would wait and test first thing tomorrow morning!

It’s pretty hard to get a false positive, so your BFN was probably because you only waited an hour and the hCG hadn’t had time to build up to detectable levels again.
Try in the morning, you’ll get a much clearer result! Congratulations BTW!!!

CapeCodder22: Test again in the AM! Good luck!

CapeCodder22: I agree with PP’s, the negative was probably b/c you didn’t have enough time in between tests to ‘capture’ enough of the hcg hormone.
FX’s for you in the morning! Come back and update us 🙂

CapeCodder22: Congratulations! How did you tell your DH?

Thanks ladies! I’m super excited.
Wylie231388: Thanks – I just headed over there to check it out.
MrsFairyBee: I ended up suprising him last night even though I wasn’t positive. We have a young dog that chews up the most random things in the house when left alone. So… I went into another room and yelled to him to come see what she had chewed this time, and handed him the positive test. He was jumping up and down, it was really hysterical.
