Hi all! I went to BHLDN this morning to try on dresses and now I’m having a horrible time chosing a dress! It’s for a morning wedding, a brunch, and the receptiion and ceremony are both outside near a river, so it’s rather casual — I need opinions! Everyone in my family has a different idea. Here are 3 choices:
1. This is the Calla:

2. This is the Regan:

3. And this is the Amanda

I agree with PP, #2 for sure! #1 looks like a bridesmaid dress to me.

#2 is the winner!Beautiful!

I voted for #2 but #3 also looks stunning on you. #1 is flattering but a little boring.

I like all 3! Very different. I think it all depends on what represents you the most. I voted for 3.

tomatotoes : So I voted #1, but I really love both #1 and #2, I just think number 2 needs to be altered a bit.
It seems to hit below your natural waist so it’s not as flattering – it cuts you in a weird spot. If the waist was moved up a bit I think it would flatter you better. I’m short so this happens to me with dresses all the time so I’m sensitive to it I guess.
I’m not a fan of the style of #3.

AnonBee2019 : Thanks for the advice about the waist! I’m 5’4″ so not very tall either — I hadn’t noticed that but did feel that I didn’t like the waist on #2 as much. Maybe it can be altered if i go for that one!

sapphire27 : I hadn’t thought of that! Good point!

First of all, I love BHLDN and am still astounded I didn’t get my dress there. Second of all, #2 is what I would choose. It’s perfect for an outdoor morning wedding!

I like the Regan! Very flattering!

No wonder you need the help of a poll. I voted for number 1. Classic, perfect, elegant. You look like a model in that dress and your slender arms and long neck suit straplessness. But I had to deliberate for a lot before casting the vote for 1 over 2. That’s pretty well perfect as well. While you look great in the third option, it looks like fairly unforgiving material in that skirt. If it were me, I’d have to suck in my stomach all day and that would be too tiresome to contemplate. Of course, your tummy might be a lot firmer than mine!

Reagan for sure! You can always shorten the straps just a tad to bring the waist up.

I love #1 on you- so etherial and gacefully bridal, and the coloring is fantastic on you. But they all look good, bee. You can’t go wrong!

observer : oh you’re too sweet. I’m leaning toward #1 since it’s more “me”, cheaper and minus the fuss of a train for the outdoors…but oh man I am torn…!
