Derick and I took our Pre Cana classes a few weeks ago. We recieved our workbook with the bible reading choices. There are soooo many readings to choose from. I’m curious to see what others have picked for there ceremony readings. Also what songs are you using for the bridal processional???

We’re doing the first choice from Genesis, “God is Love” from 1st John and then the “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and love your neighbor as yourself” from Mark (I think?) Dunno about the responsorial psalm. We’re doing Jesu, Joy of Man’s desiring for the processional.

These are the readings we chose:
For the processional, we just did a regular hymn that we both love (like a regular Mass processional), which was “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”. We also walked in together.
I love Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, though. I had that for signing the register.

First Reading: Tobit 8:4b-8
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:31 – 13:8A
Gospel: Matthew 7:21, 24-29
For our processional, we chose Clarke “Trumpet Voluntary”. It’s gorgeous on the organ! We’re using Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring for the prelude and Beethoven “Hymn of Joy” for the recessional.
