pisces315:  we had a sizable budget, and definitely went in to the 6 figures.  Your break down looks good so far ~ have you looked at hiring a planner?  It is well worth the money and they will help cooridnate all the pieces you’ve planned on the day of so you can enjoy!

Stationary is an element you haven’t accounted for which can go either way.  I personally spent a fair amount on invites and stationary, but I knew what I was after:)  Invitation suites and Save-The-Date Cards are only half the battle!  I think our suite was ~10/invite, but once you add on postage, it was ~$11.50 each.  But then for stationary for the day of ~ we really went all out, we had programs with swavorski crystals and ribbon detail, triple layer escort cards, double layer menu cards for each setting.  Don’t forget signage around the space too – we had entrance sign, table chart signage, cute little signs scattered through the space (bathroom, memory sign … ).  Depending on your preferences ~ but I would seriously consider live music for the reception – hands down one of the BEST decisions we made, and well worth the added cost.

I have so many thoughts to put down ~ as long as you’re comfortable with the amount you’re spending, that’s all that matters. Enjoy!

I am struggling with florals! My original vision clocked in at 8000!!! Wayyyy too much for a 60k wedding. Trying to scale it back now.

amRN:  Do you have a recap on here?! Your wedding sounds gorgeous!

MrsBuesleBee:  Ugh, I hear you. I went into the florist thinking my original budget would have easily covered everything. Flowers are so much more expensive than I anticipated!

crackktheskyy:  yes, we went up a little too because I guess where we started was a complete farce? Just like every other guestimate I started with.

They die but at the same time … FLOWERS! ooh ah pretty. And hey, they live on in your photos!

MrsBuesleBee:  So true! And they will make the venue smell lovely!

But I really can sympathize. I had one florist quote me $12K and she didn’t even list what kinds of flowers they would be using. Yikes!

think I’m going to nix the letterpress invites. It’s lovely but my wedding is not black tie/ballroom and it’s an easy way to save 2-3k seeing as everything else ended up more expensive then estimated. I just don’t care as much as they cost!

My budget is about 100k

We are getting married in my parents backyard, with a reception in a small barn plus tent plus dance floor and field area. It’s not really rustic or vintage, and not carnival, but we are having comfort foods and carnival rides and a food truck. I guess you could say it’s like a town festival type feel.

Venue: free

Rentals: dance floors, tent, linens, tables, chairs, bulb lights, 3 chandeliers, staging, wooden pews and other stuff–$11k

Catering including steakhouse station, seafood bar, ice cream bar, southern station, fruit/cheese station, sweet tea, lemonade, and glass bottled sodas–$10k

My attire–dress, reception dress, veil, hairflower, alterations, shoes, jewelry–$5k

Groom’s tux–free with rentals of groomsmen (which they are paying for)

Flowers–my bouquet, 8 bm bouquets, 2 kissing balls for FG’s, 6 corsages, 12 bouts, 20 centerpieces, cake flowers, “altar flowers”, pew decor, and assorted wreaths and other arrangements–$18k

Carnival ride rentals for ferris wheel, scrambler, and food truck to serve cotton candy, funnel cakes, fried twinkies, and corn dogs–25k

Photography–2 shooters, all day coverage, all prints on CD, slideshow, engagement session and bridal session with prints–$2100

Video–2 shooters, all day coverage, teaser, edited video with custom edits, 3 discs- $3k

Paper products–invites, STD’s, programs, napkins, thank you’s, postage–$350

Music–guitarist and vocalist for ceremony, live band for reception–$5k

Fireworks exit–10k

Transportation–vintage GTO rental to leave in as a surprise for FI–$400

Rings–free; they were my grandparents

makeup and hair–free for me and bridesmaids; friendor

Cake–4 tiered with assorted fillings and lace-like buttercream–$550

Honeymoon–1 week in St. Lucia plus flights, $5200

Amazing! 🙂

I LOVE big weddings! I don’t mean big as in many people, but as in fancy and elegant. Great way to honor your Grandma by using that money to cherish love! I will have myself a too-many-people wedding since my family alone are 100 people! hahha but certanly looking forward to doing something like you.

Happy marriage! 🙂

I feel kind of bad for skimping on the at-home reception, but since it’s all for our parents’ friends and we paid for everything… I wanted to go all out for the friends and family that went to the Destination Wedding

ambient:  Where is your DW? It sounds AMAZING. Your budget is higher than mine, but similar, so it makes me feel better (we’re spending $6k on our photographer, for example, and I feel like it’s an INSANE amount of money, but the fiance loves her work and I gave in. I’m so glad someone else is shelling out big bucks, it makes me feel less crazy!)

Our venue is still 40k but I’m going to scale back some of the add ons to keep it at about 35k

Dress still the same 2k

Rings changed a bit, Fiance has expensive ass taste, his 2100 and mine 1800 so 3900 total

Photos 6k

Alcohol 15k…. still hurts to write this one down. It’ll all be gone too I guarantee it haha

Bridal party gifts still the same at 2700

Favors I cut down big time. I’m dying them a lot so instead of 2700 we cut down to 750!!!

Cake was 2k

The invites were 600 (Party City ladies!!!! Awesome prices)

Band 5k

DJ 300

Limos 3k

My hair and make up 350

Flowers was the latest…. 6k! so pissed about it haha.

And we don’t even have his tux yet. But it is pretty much it….. everything has been taken care of I think????

We are at about 89k and that’s not counting the 20k on the honeymoon. OUCH

Oh and to top this shit off….. the guest list grew to approximately 550. Is this over yet?????
