I keep seeing posts about ladies with large ring sizes. I personally have never met anyone with bigger than size 7.5 ring size. I just have to ask, you ladies with large fingers, are y’all just really tall? I am 5’2″. I have a couple of female cousins that are 5’11”, I am going to ask them about their ring size. I don’t really have a point, just curiousity getting the best of me on this Monday afternoon.

@MrsFuzzyFace: It’s so funny that you brought this up! Another Bee and I have just been messaging each other about large finger sizes!
This would be insteresting to see what the replies are!

my mom has a large ring size (8) and she is 5’4″ and very thin, she just has bigger bones, i guess. I am only 5’3″ and i wear a size 7.

How do you know you have never met someone with a ring size bigger than 7.5? Ring size isnt normally something that comes up in everyday conversation.
But anyways, my sister in law is 5’2, and very slim. She wears a size 8. She just has big hands I guess.

I am a size 9-10. I have short, chubby fingers, plus I have primary lymphedema praecox in all 4 extremities, so my fingers swell.

@Bostongrl25: You make a good point. I guess what I mean to say is while discussing rings and such with people, no one has ever said their ring size is anything over 7.5.

@MrsFuzzyFace: I’m 5’10” and over weight and I have a ring finger of 6.5 or so.
My Mom was a jeweler for years, and I worked for her. I met woman of all different shapes and sizes with small and big fingers. The most surprising one was this woman who was 4’11” and probably 100lbs and every single one of her fingers was a size 10. So I don’t think it has anything to do with finger size.

We’re just all built differently. I dont think theres always a height/weight correlation with ring size. I’m 5’4 and wear a 4.25. My mother is a 5′ and wears 5.5. She weight about 5 lbs more than me.

I am a ring size 8. I am 5’7″, “fluffy” and have large knuckles from years of bowling in a league…but it is what is!

@mwitter80: That is an interesting observation. I have a friend who is 5’5″ and probably a size 10 or 12 and can’t wear watches with metal links because, even with them all taken out, they fall right off her tiny wrists. We truely are all unique.

I am about a ring size 8.5. I’ve always had larger fingers, even when I was younger and skinnier. I’m 5’7 and about a size 16. When I was high school and more like a 10/12, my ring size was 7.25. I think even if I lost a ton of weight, I’ll never have skinny fingers. *sigh* I’d love to have tiny fingers and be able to actually try on rings in a store, instead of having to put things on my pinky.

I’m short and on the chunkier side (LOL not a good combo!) and I wear a size 6 which I guess is average? However, my fingers are very short and while they don’t look ‘fat’ or anything, it makes picking out wedding rings and engagement rings tough since they’ll be worn together. 2 of my friends are thinner than I am (by a lot), one is about my height and the other is rather tall, and they both wear about a 6.5ish I’d guess from trying on each others rings. My sister is my height, thinner than me by a size or two and her rings are a full size bigger than mine. I don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason to it, LOL. I know you asked about height and not weight, just figured I’d throw it out there.

I wear a size 9-9.5 in rings, and the samples usually fit my pinky! I have triangle shaped fingers, they are really skinny at the top, but get wider at the bottom. I also have big knuckles, so I need something that will get over them, but not come back off.

I’m 5’6 and average weight and my fingers used to be 8.5. Since working on a computer all day and typing my left hand is a 7.5 while my right hand is 8.
I HATE that my solitare looks so small on my fat fingers.

I am 5’6 which is taller than the average woman, but I wear ring size 3.75, which is SUPER TINY! I just have small features though, I also wear a 5 1/2 shoe.
