I have an almost nonexistant budget of $200. Am I destined to wearing the equivalent of tinfoil on my chubby, long fingers? Or can any of you savvy Bees direct me to the pot of Honey?
Thanks in advance for your help!
p.s. I love the Morganite look.

@GelaMac: I am a bit nervous about Etsy. I have heard some horror stories. Since money is so tight I am concerned that I will not end up with anything after paying for the product. Do you have an suggestions on how to avoid that? I guess it’s clear I don’t usually shop online :P.

@susi_petunia: Look for an etsy seller with positive reviews 🙂 lots ideally. If the product never arrives you can get your money back through complaining to paypal or your bank.
I’ve bought through etsy a lot. Always been pleased 🙂

Thanks, it’s comforting to know that I would have a way to dispute a possible issue.
I have looked at the CZ’s etc, and came to the realization that I would rather have a gemstone, even if it is very small.
Browsing Etsy, and some other sites, I am a little more hopeful that we will be able to find something cute, like a Morganite or Aquamarine. The mot important part will be finally being engaged anyway! 😀

I would look at etsy…also if you go on, KAY or Zales, and several other websites, they have certified pre-owned options (many of them are trade ins after women have upgraded), and they have lovely rings for deep discounts, some well over half off, and kay also has super value rings that are solitaires or multi stone rings….also, i have found several beautiful rings with certified diamonds at walmart and jcpenny’s, that are gorgeous and defenitly decent on the pocket book….my friend got her GORGEOUS ring from walmart, and it was under 200….also check out ebay!! they have great steals!! i got a peridot necklace from ebay, that retails for over $200, for $30, and even had checked out by a jewler and it is the real deal….so happy hunting there are alot of options out there! and there are always payment plans too!

@susi_petunia: I love etsy! I have never had a problem with them and have even purchased some high dollar items from vendors on there. I will ONLY go through paypal though. It protects me and it protects the seller. If I pay for and never recieve a product, I contact paypal and I get my money back.

Mrs Hedgehog +1, totally agreed. I’ve bought expensive items off of Etsy (like up to $200) and never had a problem. I was nervous the firts time but have had only good experiences for years and years!

There was a pear shaped morganite on this site that I went nuts over for only $189. Sadly for us, it disappeared from the site shortly after we saw it, and I still check to see if it has come back quite often..

I know a gemstone guy who is AMAZING and has tons of morgonite, peachy sapphires, etc. Royal Crown in NYC is run by Don Golden, who is a friend of my boss. He supplies a lot of the jewelers who work on the tv shopping channels, I’m sure he could help.
