At risk of sounding very vain (yeah puns!) in recent years when I smile hard or am emotional I’ve started getting quite a prominent couple of forehead veins poking out. I think it’s better when I’m hydrated, but would prefer not to look like the hulk in all my wedding photos. Anyone have the same and successfully managed to minimise them without surgery?? I’m simply not getting that done. If you had succes with any conservative treatment however like supplements or creams, or even if you had non invasive stuff like laser (or even something injectible, I just draw the line at surgery!) can you please tell me what and how it went?
I’ve never had any beauty treatments so am a bit clueless. It’s not a big deal in the scheme of things and if nothing can be done I’ll live with it – just wondering, as sure Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts can rock them but I am a) not a movie star, and b) am a bit self conscious about mine, and sometimes those bad boys are PROMINENT!

Check out sclerotherapy for forehead veins. It would have to be performed by a certified Md though.

Is it like Angelina Jolie’s vein?

I’ve always admired Julia Robert’s vein. It seems like something only very fit people have!

I wonder if a few conservative botox injections in the forehead would help? Might be worth visiting your local plastic surgeon/derm.

TwilightRarity : Yeah just like it… but you know, without being angelina, who could sprout antlers on her forehead and still look amazing. I just feel like mine is all I notice!

mahadewi : you make me feel a bit better – I suppose beauty is very subjective isn’t it. Mine is prob less fitness and more just genetic!

beewings : Are your veins up front or along the sides?
I have a VERY prominent vein along both of my temples. They are probably about 2 inches long and REALLY pop when I’m worked up or smiling too hard. I some how don’t see them in my wedding photos. I think something about my contour and matte finish makeup hid them a bit. I can honestly only see it in one photo and even then it’s sooooo faint only I knew it was there because I was looking for it.

I have never noticed anyone’s forehead veins before if that will be any consolation. Photoshop can help with your favourite wedding pics. Other than that maybe try to embrace it? Angelina Jolie’s forehead vein apparently has 20k people following its facebook page.

I have the same! They also get really bad when I cry, and in our engagement photos I am bawling and they are PROMINENTLY on display.
I too wanted to do something before our wedding but was too nervous to try botox so close to our date. When I received our wedding photos, I was shocked at how smooth my forehead looked! And then… I realized it’s because our photographer edited them out lolol. My recommendation is get a photographer who isn’t afraid to do a little smoothing!
