@DANA84:  I didn’t vote because I think it’s entirely about you and what YOU want no matter how big or small. If you feel you will regret not getting a diamond than take a look at some halo or invisible setting rings, they maximize the size. But, I cant say enough its not about size. If you want something unique you could go with any gem theres tons to pick from and you can have a large size without sacrificing your budget. Below are ore to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. For around $500 eatch they’re not small to me.

I have a 1 ct moissy and LOVE it!!! We chose not to go with diamond for many reasons, price being one and the ethics and mining behind them being another. We got an enhanced moissy from moissaniteco and I wouldn’t go any other way! No regrets here.

I just gave you the vote that split the poll 50/50… you are really not winning here! πŸ™‚

You obviously want a diamond – are you concerned about getting a small diamond because you don’t like the way they look, or because you are worried people may say something rude about size?

I don’t recommend trying to pass off things as a diamond. It will make you insecure as people can tell the difference, particularly in the sun. A diamond is a disco in the sun! You will never regret a beautiful little diamond. I would recommend looking maybe at a pawn shop if you’re not worried about second hand, as the .30-.40 range can be quite nice.

Or you can drop your clarity to I1 and get a good size, but just look at different diamonds because out of 20 I1 diamonds you can find a real star!

I love moissys and I love small diamonds, on the right hand. I’m more attracted to larger stones in general though, so I would go with a moissy.

I wanted a large diamond setting without wearing a large stone so I looked for vintage composite styles with halos. Here’s what I found for a surprisingly decent price. 39 diamonds baby! πŸ˜‰

Fake or real, a ring is a ring. People are so materialistic and I will probably get a ton of evil eyes for this post but honestly not everyone can afford a diamond. Why a small real diamond if you can get a larger nicer one that looks very smilar? If your budget is $500, then you should take “Starla” and Sweet.Sugar.Rose’s advice.
