Oh no! That sounds like something I’d do. I hope they don’t charge you again, since they clearly already have it on file!

Well congrats on your impending nuptials!

I’m not sure whether there’s a waiting period in your area, though I’m guessing if there was, you’d know about it already from last time. So I’m guessing it won’t be a problem getting another copy in two days’ time. Unfortunately, they probably will charge you another $60, but that’s small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.

Oh no!! Hopefully it all works out for you!

We had a marriage license debacle- thought we needed to get it in the county we got married in, which is 2 hours from where we live. On the Thursday before the wedding, we went to get it and were told we would have to drive back to where we live to get it. After lots of tears and a nice lady at the courthouse- we were able to work it out- but it was so stressful!

Glad you didn’t have to pay another 60! Ugh. Mistakes happen though. Really glad you managed to realize it in time.

@OldMrsMcDonald:  Ha, my husband did something similar on our wedding day! He was driving to the hotel and I called him to make sure he had the wedding license and various other things we needed for the ceremony…he had forgotten everything EXCEPT for this local beer he had told one of our friends about the night before at our rehearsal dinner and promised to bring to him. Priorities! 🙂

My Darling Husband and I almost forgot to go get out marriage license all together.  When we finally realized it, we also learned that our small town courthouse has VERY limited hours and in fact are only open a couple days a week.  We ALMOST had to have the ceremony and then go to the courthouse to make it legal!  Scary times!
