…I would seriously see a doctor. Is the area hot to touch? I might worry about an infection!

gosh that almost sounds like an allergic reaction? I don’t know what to tell you….can you maybe call a nurse or even the place where you had it done and see if they have any input?

It’s definitely normal for it to be a bit swollen and red, even a couple days later… but it could also be an allergic reaction so I suggest taking some benadryl and see how it feels since you can’t get to a doctor. It could also be that the wax pulled off some skin and it’s raw,if you think that is what it is, I would suggest just wearing loose clothes and putting some diaper rash cream or something on it.

Good luck!

“Tend Skin” works WONDERS. It calms the redness, the bumps, the pain, the tenderness. I’ve experienced everything that you’re talking about. It sounds to me like you just had a very rough waxer. Sometimes if they don’t hold the skin taunt properly, you can end up with severe brusing and tenderness after a couple of days. I used to get bikini waxes every month and a half for 5 years, so I’ve had a lot of waxers. I’ve probably suffered from every kind of pain imaginable associated with it, and Tend Skin really does heal all, and pretty quick, usually with just 1 or 2 applications.

You can find it in some upscale salons that do waxing. Sometimes it’s found in department stores or beauty supply stores. And of cours,e you can buy it online at places like sephora or amazon, but it sounds like you might need it sooner than that.

@yellowismyfavoritecolor:  YES.  This is exactly what I was going to say–Tend Skin.  If you have a Sephora or Ulta near you, they should have it.  You might want to try the following: lightly exfoliate in the shower, dry yourself completely, then soak a cotton ball in Tend Skin and dab it all over the area.  If you are hurting a lot, it might sting a bit b/c it’s mostly alcohol.  After the TS is dry, dab on Neosporin (try to use the Neo plus pain relief if you can find it) and wear looser, cotton undies, like boy shorts.
