@blue44:  I think having a little redness is normal.  I always use neosporin “down there” every morning after I shower.  I recommend it!

Exfoliate.  Change your panties a couple of times a day (to stay clean and dry) and I would suggest cornstarch over an oil/cream.

Get this stuff called Tend Skin.  Use it a couple days after your wax. It works AWESOME!!  DO NOT put it on right after the wax, it will burn!!

Further, ask your waxer if she has a spray for this post-wax.  I carry an AHA/BHA spray that not only has antioxidants in it for germs but also to keep ingrowns and bumps to a minimum if at all.

Definitely ask your esthetician if she has any cream. My girl gives me about 3 or 4 packs every time and it works so well, I wish I knew what it was called. I have extremely sensitive skin too.

I use tend skin too.  It is awesome.  You can buy it online and some salons also carry it.

I agree with previous posters, as a sensitive skin girl who LOVES her bikini waxes, you have to exfoliate – my girl used to tell me to exfoliate until your skin hurts just a little bit.  And Tend Skin is a miracle product, apply right after you get out of the shower, and at night if you remember.

I get TendSkin from Sephora and also highly recommend it – though I still get a few ingrown hairs anyway. As you wax more, the hair grows in more finely, and the ingrown hairs will begin to come much less frequently.

I use rubbing alcohol. I put it on the area that was waxed with those cotton pad things you use to take make up off. I dont use it until a few days after the waxing but it really elps get rid of bumps because it drys them out. My waxing lady told me to do this and it works awesome!!
