I tried it… I didn’t exactly feel relaxed.  But I did feel like it was a good workout afterward.  The sweating all over yourself thing kinda distracted me.  Give it a shot, but don’t buy a full package.

I love Bikram, but I wouldn’t exactly say that it is relaxing. It is a really intense 90 minute workout where you really stretch and push your body. You need to make sure to eat a full meal prior and allow plenty of time for it to digest prior to the class- you really need the energy.

But it is an amazing workout & a GREAT stress reliever!

I absolutley LOVED my hot yoga class. I went every day for a month and then realized after my move I could not afford it. I thought it was wonderfully relaxing, you do have to get used to the sweat dripping off of your body though. I heart it and would reccomend it to anyone!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE hot yoga.  I think there are multiple benefits from doing it on a regular basis. The classes are a definite challenge and you leave dripping sweat from head to toe.  I feel like it definitly destresses me, i wouldn’t really call the call “relaxing” (I think of relaxing as laying on the hammock with a good cocktail or book Wink) But you definitly have a more peaceful way once you get into it regularly.  You also are burning quiet a bit of calories. I just got a heart rate monitor yesterday, I’ll wear it into class to let you know the calorie burn, definitly over  1000 though i’d think.  I think this class is wonderful to incorporate with other carido and weight training activities.  Try it out, you’ll be hooked 🙂

LOVE BIKRAM, it balances me when I’m all over the place. It helps you focus and you feel reborn everytime you get out. I only pay $10 per session since I’m a student, I try to go at least once a week, so $40 a month isn’t too bad, since I spend more than that on coffee.

I love hot yoba, but I hated Bikram.  I would not call Bikram relaxing in the least.  The instructors at my studio were terrible- arrogant, and uncaring.

Baptiste Power Yoga is a fantastic hot yoga alternative.  It’s power yoga, and a phenomenal workout, but it is also very relaxing.
