Hi! I was wondering if anyone has gotten Bill Levkoff dresses in the chiffon material (and maybe in the wine color, more specifically). I’m letting my girls choose whichever style they want as long as the color matches and they’re all in the chiffon material. They’ve chosen 676 (2 bridesmaids), 115 (4 bridesmaids), and 164 (1 junior bridesmaid). Now I’m worried because the bridal stores say this designer cannot guarantee that all of the styles will be cut from the same dye lot… so they might be exactly the same color! I’m not sure what this means in terms of how “off” one shade of wine might be from another shade of wine – does anyone have experience with this? Thanks so much in advance for any help!

My BM’s are also in Bill Levkoff but in pewter. Since they are all over the country they ordered it from different stores and thus will not be in the same dye lot. A few are coming in this month so I will report back as soon as I know.

@JenniferMm: Which pewter dress did they order (if you don’t mind me asking) I’m planning on doing that color by Bill Levkoff as well for my girls 🙂

My girls are wearing different styles from Bill Levkorder from this site: http://www.perfect-bridesmaid-dresses.com/bill-levkoff-bridesmaid-dresses.html. I created an account and then all of my bridesmaids could go on the site and put in my name and date and pick their style and pay for their own dress. The shop give one week for the bridesmaids to complete their orders and then submits the orders together to ensure they come from the same dye lot. Bonus is that they also have the best prices that I could find! My bridesmaids live all over and this was the best option for us. The website’s brick and mortar store is in the bay area so we choose to have the dresses for the local girls shipped to the store for free and I will pick them up.

I saw some Bill Levkoff dresses I liked but we are all on tight budgets so we ended up going with David’s Bridal because I can find them all second-hand. I have 4 bridesmaids in four different long chiffon dresses. I love it and they do too. There may be slight variation in color for us (haven’t had the dresses all together yet) but it’s not a detail that bothers me. I love that each bridesmaid can look just a little bit unique, and I think the slightly mismatched look is very modern and fun.

@SunnySquirrel: thanks so much for the information. I’m in NYC/ Hoboken (NJ) area so I was planning on going with RK bridal (rkbridal.com) in Manhattan. Their prices are similar to the ones on your website if you measure yourself and order online, but they said I need to fill out one order form for each style. They will also beat any certified online store by 5% if I find better prices elsewhere (@rosesarefree: this could have been a good option for you). For every style, if the total exceeds $300 they give free shipping if I ship everything to one address. So basically only the junior bridesmaid will have to pay the $20 shipping on her $150 dress and the two other styles will be about $150 and $175 which is pretty good considering the original prices were $215 and $250! (Also if you ship to NJ, there’s no tax which is great.)
The problem is that the first two people I spoke with said that I could staple all the order forms together to ensure the same dye lot. But everyone else that I’ve spoken with since has said that’s not possible to guarantee because Bill Levkoff doesn’t guarantee it (whereas other designers like Jasmine, for exampe, do). At this point, I don’t know what to think… I guess I just have to be okay with the colors being a little off if I go with these styles.
