I have been married for a couple of months, and have been really looking forward to sharing my pics on weddingbee. But I have been paralyzed the past few weeks because I’m not sure whether to put them on gallery or bio! I don’t want to write a bunch of stuff, and it seems like the bios have writing where the galleries don’t. Any other differences? Can either of them be accessed from my profile? These seem like silly questions but I have frequented weddingbee for months and still can’t figure out these two features. 🙂

Bios usually do have more detailed info about the different parts of the wedding; it’s supposed to be more of a get-to-know-you type thing. If you wanted to share them in a thread, I suggest posting in the Newlywed board. A few bees have done that already. Otherwise, you can post them in the Gallery w/o any detailed information just fine!

So what is the purpose of the gallery then?

Id post them in the gallery – the bios are more to fill out information about your wedding, to share details of what you did, what it looked like, etc. The gallery would be a great place to post individual pictures with a caption in the appropriate category (ie, a pic of you in your dress would go under the dress category).
They recently changed the look of the boards so that when you click on someones user name, you can see everything they have contributed to the site by clicking the tabs (bio, gallery, boards, classified, etc) and then any user can see what you have posted here.

If you want to share a photo, you should post it to the gallery. Then you can add some text if you’d like.
If you’d like to share some personal text about you or your SO, you should post it to the bios. Then you can add some photos if you’d like.
It’s really about the focus of each… the Bios tend to focus on you and your SO, and are usually mostly text with some photos thrown in. The Gallery tends to focus on photos, and are always one photo with sometimes maybe some text thrown in.
Hope that answers your question!
