My clock started ticking when I was 25.  However, I am 27 now and I’m having MAJOR cold feet.

I am turning 30 in June. It just recently started ticking but not like OMG. Must happen now!!! It’s just now starting to sound like a good idea. lol. We are getting married in June and going to start trying this fall & if it happens, it happens.

@PermaStudent:  I’m the exact same as you! Never wanted kids then a flip switched a few months into 24…. So weird!

24 but I hit the Snooze.  It came back with a vengeance at 29 (this past year.)  We plan to TTC at the end of next year and it can’t get here fast enough!!!

I’m 30, not hearing the ticking yet… my SIL is turning 32 and swears she would have had kids at 22 if she’d been married. they started trying before the wedding even.

I have a hypothethis that your clock starts to tick around the time you are the age your parents were when they had you, or your oldest sibling.  It makes sense that growing up you thought you’d follow their example. just a though

Mine has been ticking for about 3 years now. As I approach 30 (eek only 6 months to go), I am surprised no one else can hear it. Oddly enough, my husband (who will be 37 in about 3 months) has been making noises about babies of late. I think his has started to tick as well.  In his defense, he is the oldest of 3 (only boy), and his youngest sister has two children and his other sister recently had a MC so I think he is feeling “old and behind.”  I really didn’t think men had those sorts of instincts like we do.

@PermaStudent:  I think there is a difference between “my biological clock is ticking” and “I got baby fever!!!”  A 38 year old woman who legitmately NEEDS to start TTC if she wants kids is a lot different than a 26 year old who wants a baby.  Maybe I’m being a ball buster if this is just an issue of semantics!

Either way, I’m 26 (husband is almost 30) and on the baby train.  It doesn’t help that today was take your kid to work day and I got to see all the cute kids and hear them talk and laugh… warmed my heart!

Right now I’m not so much worried about PHYSICALLY being able to carry a child, more so concerned about financially being able to provide.  My husband just got a new job, base + commission… so we’re unsure where we’ll be financially in a few months time.  Assuming he kicks ass (as always because he is the MAN!) we will start this winter.

I’m 24 and it just kicked in a couple of months ago. It’s bad!!!  Especially because BIL just had a baby and SIL is pregnant!! AHHH

i’m 28 and haven’t felt it ticking at all, wonder if there is a certain age where your body just doesn’t tick anymore. Sometimes I wonder if I ever will want a baby, I think I would rather travel and have nice things, but who knows what I will feel like in a few years.
