Hey everyone. I’ve noticed that on websites like TheKnot or Project Wedding bios are a big thing. Mainly so everyone can keep up with your wedding progress and get ideas.. Are bios on weddingbee not popular? I’ve clicked on several names and it always says ___ has not contributed a bio. Just wondering…..

I don’t think very many of us create bios here. I think we mostly ask questions in the form of a discussion board, get answers etc. A lot of us have private blogs, so if you wanted more ideas etc, click on that member’s profile and if they have a blog there is a link to it. HTH!

I don’t think they are necessarily unpopular here, but since the Bios are a somewhat newer(ish) feature here, so some of the members who have been around for longer weren’t able to work on them during their planning process. I also think that for some, I know it’s true for myself, that they aren’t comfortable putting too much personal info out there.
Also, like crebre80 mentioned, I think since this site is more blog focused, the community tends to work on their personal blogs vs. their bio. If you want to check out some of the other members’ blogs you might want to check out this thread: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/share-your-blogs-march-2010#post- and at the beginning of April we’ll also be starting a new thread like it.

I had a bio but then I deleted the photos and such because I just really didn’t want to put all that information in one place for all to see. I don’t mind after the wedding showing photos etc, but until then I’m waiting.
