Originally I was dead set on going with a birdcage veil. Then, I found a thrift store veil, more traditional, and I REALLY like it.
Fiance likes the birdcage idea (says it’s “me” because I’m a vintage kind of person)… but I know she will be wowed either way. Still, I was considering being a 2 veil bride and switching to a birdcage after the ceremony for photos and for the reception. What I am wondering though is what are the odds I will keep the birdcage on for the entire reception, or will I want to wear it long enough to justify the time spent making one?
I already have a side comb style fascinator thingy to use to make it with. I don’t know if I’d wear the veil for long though and I am wondering if I should just switch to a fascinator alone or something similar for the reception and skip the making of the veil part.
Here is a pic of my dress. I was going to make a tulle version of the birdcage, but now I am thinking of going back to the idea of netting because I held up tulle in place to simulate the look and I can’t see through it, I think that would bother me a lot!
