You can leave it over your eyes the entire reception or you could take it off for the reception.  Whatever you want!

I LOVE birdcage veils, but I’m also completely clueless about them. For the CEREMONY it doesn’t flip up or anything, it just stays over your eyes…right?

I had a cathedral veil for the ceremony and then a birdcage veil during the reception. Mine was smaller than the one in the picture, so it only covered a little bit of my face. It didn’t bother me at all and it stayed on the entire night even with all the dancing.

Its up to you! Some girls have it over their eyes during the ceremony (like me) others didn’t (like Mrs. Mouse for example.)

What I did is leave it over my eyes for the ceremony & formal pics; then for the reception I moved it back so that it crossed over my forehead, but wasn’t in front of my eyes.

I plan on wearing mine for the ceremony, then taking it off for the reception.
