One of my friends was married recently and her dress was very similar to yours. She wore a birdcage veil and it looked so great! I goggled some bird cage veil images and this one seemed similar to what you were describing.

@futurepilotswife_:  I wore one and it BARELY covered my face. My hairdresses pinned it back and it just kind of covered the side

I researched this a lot before I bought my birdcage veil (and I wore a pretty similar dress!! is yours Allure?). Look for them on Etsy – they come in lots of different sizes, and the longer/bigger ones will cover more of your face. Mine was a 9″ birdcage veil, and I fastened it so it covered a lot of my face before the ceremony, and adjusted it so it barely covered my face during the reception. Here’s a couple photos:

@futurepilotswife_:  oops I forgot to add photos

Basically we did a “day after” photo shoot so the coupl-y photos are not the actual day of our wedding so my hair was a bit differnet than actual wedding day (I wore extensions at the wedding but not the “day after” shoot)

And these are from the actual wedding day:

And here is a link to some more photos which may give a different angle:
