- Wedding: December 2013
I’m a bridesmaid in a mostly DIY wedding, and since I live closest to the bride and am pretty good with hair & makeup..it’s looking like I will probably be doing hers the day of the wedding! (This is both exciting and stressful for me all at once!)
She’s going to wear a birdcage veil, and well, I’ve never messed with one before…EVER. I’d probably be ok with just trial & error, but it’s getting down to the wire…the wedding is in less than a month.
Her idea (which I love btw) is to wear her hair in some sort of up-do, to the side, with the birdcage somehow placed at an angle. She’s going for a old fashion glam look, with bright red lipstick to complete the look.
Ladies, if you have any pictures, tips, tricks, or words of advice on this topic, pleeease feel free to post!
EDIT: Just some more info so y’all could help me with the best placement of the birdcage; The bride has a very strong jawline (think reese witherspoon in sweet home alabama) and very maneagable curly hair that can be shaped pretty much any way she wants. Desite having an idea of what she already wants, she is totally open to all the options and just wants to find something that works! Buns, braids, half-up/half-down..just has to have the birdcage incorporated into it somehow!
