Not the cheapest option, but I love showering (and being showered in) flower petals. Totally natural so there shouldn’t be a problem with venue.

Me neither! I was planning on going for sparklers or lanterns that you let go, but they’re too much of a fire hazard for where we are having the ceremony. So I decided on ribbon wands.

How about bells?  Your guests could ring them as you exit.

Or, sparklers?  Or, is it a daytime celebration?

We’re doing tiny felt pompoms. 🙂

They’ll be very colorful and won’t hurt when they hit me, and won’t get stuck in my hair (or anywhere else).

Our “cleanup” plan is to have our numerous nieces and nephews pick them up (like an easter egg hunt).  We’ll arrange for little prizes for whoever finds the most, etc.

What about kazoos? People could hum songs or tunes and it would be a cute twist – and maybe even a favor. Also, it could double as the kissing bell at the reception!

Applause worked for us.  And it was totally environmentally friendly.  Wink

We are doing biodegradable confetti go over it with a hose and it is all gone. Our venue wont let us use flower petals but they were ok with the confetti!
