I have just gone off of the BCP because everyone I tried was affecting me too much emotionally and giving me anxiety. I am going to try the Paraguard IUD. Wish me luck!!

Natural Family Planning. I use an app to chart my fertile times, so we are just extra careful during my fertile window or avoid sex altogether for those few days. We have a 4 month old right now and are planning to try for a second baby when she turns a year old. My husband will get a vasectomy when we are done having kids. I’ve never been a fan of hormonal birth control.

I used birth control pill for many years (16 total, but probably 12 actually sexually active) and the pill worked great- never had any scares or accidental pregnancies.  I occasionally missed a pill or two and didn’t have an issue although obviously not recommended.  I used temping/charting (or sympto thermal method) between pregnancies and it worked very well and I enjoyed it (found it interesting) but I also believe it’s more subject to user error than something like the pill or IUD so there’s that.  You have to be very meticulous.  I followed it fairly well but not as exact as I should have because I was okay with another pregnancy (as I eventually wanted another).  So I had sex on the day I first had cervical fluid for that cycle which is a no-no (CD 9) and ovulated one day early than my earliest O in over a year (CD14) and that’s how I got pregnant with #2.  I think after this (after baby is 1) I will try out a mirena because I would like lighter or no periods.  I will probably wait awhile to make sure I’m done having kids and then I want my husband to have a vasectomy.

Was on the pill for 10 years, but used FAM to get pregnant and will not return to the pill when the baby is born. Total FAM fanand done with hormones!  (It is not natural family planning and with perfect use has 95%+ rate if preventing pregnancy).

I hated birth control…ot made me super depressed and made me have bad acne and weight gain. The best Form of birth control my husband and I have used is a vasectomy. Totally worth it 3 years later.
