Keep taking OPKs – two a day once you start getting two lines like you do now. If you are going to ovulate 2-3 days from now, you won’t necessarily get a positive today.  Usually ovulation happens within 12-48 hours, sometimes longer, of a positive OPK, and you’ll get a couple days of a faint line but negative OPK before the positive.  Remember that a positive is where the left line is DARKER than the right (control) line.  So… just keep testing, and doing sexytime at least every other day until several days after your positive test.

nurseybee55 :  It’s possible you have a shorter LP too.  Just keep taking the OPKs and temping.  I recommend switching to twice a day until you get a positive.

I would also start testing twice a day. Your LH hormone could peak hours after a negative. Don’t lose hope!

nurseybee55 :   I would only worry if your LP is consistently 10 days or less. Try not to worry now. Your cycle might surprise you. I didn’t realize how much my cycles varied until I started tracking.

nurseybee55 :  Was today your first OPK? If you saw fertile cm today it’s entirely possible that you already had your LH surge yesterday and are ovulating today or tomorrow. Definitely just keep taking them twice a day in case your surge is coming and BD today if you can since fertile cm is always good πŸ™‚ FX!

My LP was on average 14 days. Don’t worry until you have a reason to worry.

Chart and temp. You’re just figuring out your cycle, try to relax!

nurseybee55 :  It takes awhile to understand what fertile CM is like too. I would still BD every other day until you get a rise in temperature. Also, if it makes you feel any better (or makes you more confused), I didn’t have any EWCM the cycle I got my BFP (my 9th cycle TTC/tracking). My CM was only slightly watery on O-3, O-1, and O…

nurseybee55 :  I used Preseed for several cycles.  It’s likely it helped!  My strategy was to *try* to insert the preseed about 15 minutes before BDing (which wasn’t always successful), and lay around for about 20 minutes afterwards.  I had a tilted cervix, so I laid on my belly with a pillow under my hips.  There was one of the times during the cycle we got our BFP I didn’t do any of that except use preseed.  That cycle we BD’d at O-4, O-2, and O-1.  I would just shoot for BDing every other day, but don’t worry too much more about it!  Switching up the routine during our FW kept it interesting.

SeaOfLove :  just out of curiosity, where did that lie on your stomach on a pillow thing come from?  I have a tilted cervix too (I think – that’s the same thing as a tilted uterus, yes?).  Definitely want to make it easy for the little dudes and dudettes to get up the cervix.

KittyYogi :  I read it online somewhere from several sites and forums.  When you’re so many cycles in… you just try everything. lol.  My cervix was super tilted, though, so if I were to lie on my back, I could see where the opening of my cervix might have been blocked… While lying on my stomach left it exposed for the swimmers.  I also read about the best positions for conceiving with a tilted cervix.  Of course, it took a few cycles for any of that to work for us.  But I definitely don’t attribute my BFP to just that.
