I just spent the past 4 days researching this and I heard of Katie Berger from Sara Kate events but she may be more than $550. I originally wasn’t planning for one but with my wedding spending getting higher I’m starting to feel overwhelmed and I wAnt my day to “flow” easily. Would u be willing to try someone in NJ? I find that once you cross the bridge things are cheaper. There is Cindy from All about You Events and, who I’m about to meet with, Laura Savio from Every Last Detail. They are both in your price range. I’m sure u can have a Skype meeting with them if you consider NJ to be a far drive and they’re both in your price range.

I have been coordinating weddings for years and I have found that if you want a good DOC for less than the standard  amount you may have to consider a less than seasoned pro. Definitely be more picky than you would be if you were interviewing a well established coordinator. Check out the classified section to get an idea of what’s in your area. Good luck, a DOC is a great way to give yourself more time to enjoy your wedding!

Me! Lets chat: [email protected] I’ve been planning professionally in the city for about 3 years now and understand the need for help that doesn’t kill your budget. I grew up in the industry and have since coordinated weddings with budgets ranging from $3,000-$80,000 so your numbers won’t scare me. Plus, I’m booked on the 18th with a big budget event so I can afford to drop prices a bit for the remainder of May. If you’d like, we can chat and see if we can come up with something that works for you!

I used Katie Berger from Sara Kate Events and she was absolutely amazing!!!!!  I wouldn’t look at anyone else, she was the best. She and her assistant took care of everything on the day of my wedding and were also a huge help leading up to the day when I started feeling super stressed and overwhelmed. I cannot sing her praises enough!!!  Her website is: http://www.sarakateevents.com

HTH!!

@PixieNYC:  Yay! Alex is a friend of mine, and she is doing our flowers and is our DOC as well. I definitely recommend her.

@kangold05:  You should contact her, she is great.

I am using Nina from Elegant Events by Nina for only $650. She was recommened by church friend and has good reviews on her website. The past bride that she gave as a reference was a tv personality from the west coast (I googled her info to make sure that I wasn’t being lied to). From the email, Raychel is based out of Cali but had her wedding here in NY. NIna stayed up late to talk to her in west coast time and made sure that her central park wedding and receptoin afterwards was perfect.

From personal experience with her now, she is amazing and a kind soul. If you email her, I am sure she is willing to work with your budget.
