I think you can have black anytime of year.  It’s a classic color.

@miranda5232:

 I think it depends on how formal your wedding is but black dresses can absolutely work! If it’s a more casual outside ceremony then a cocktail or tea length dress. Maybe lace or chiffon. If it’s indoors or more formal you can probably get away with  full length. My friend did cocktail length black satin dresses with red rose bouquets for her outdoor July wedding and it looked great! What are your colors?

If you want to have black Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, I don’t think it matters what time of year it is. With that being said, I think it’s fine to do it in September.

If you like the idea of black bm dresses then you should go for it and not worry about the time of year or anything.

I had black BM’s dresses in July.  I think it’s a good color all year long!

Edit: Wow, I look super pale in that picture!  I think it must be more noticeable with my (tan) sister standing next to me!

Black dresses will make a great background for fall colors.

My sister was married in September and we wore black dresses. It was perfectly fine.

Black can be worn any time of the year. Men don’t change their tux colors for summer so there’s no reason why women can’t wear it anytime they choose.

Yes, I did them in august – they were long and flowy -chiffon – felt that worked better in the summer!
