The big day is early summer next year and we have a outdoor ceremony and woodsy, outdoorsy, laid back theme for the reception. I want to incorporate wood elements into decor and decorate with purple, light blue and hydrangea green, mostly purple though. I was originally thinking of having the bridesmaids pick their own knee-length violet purple dress. Now I’m pondering the idea of LBDs for the ladies. I’m kinda worried it might be too dramatic for the ambiance we’re going for though. Or maybe too hot for an outdoor June event. And accessory ideas to brighten it up? What do you guys think?

My wedding is in 5 days (eek!) and my 6 bridesmaids are wearing LBDs of their choice. I think it will look great. The flowers are daisies, sunflowers, and the little green poms, so they’ll definitely have a lot of color. Its a church wedding, but the reception will be pretty laid back. Honestly, I think it will look great. Each lady has chosen a dress that reflects her personal style, and I’m so glad they’re wearing something they either have worn already or will wear again!

One of my BMs was just in another wedding where they all picked their own LBD to wear, in an outdoor wedding. It looked gorgeous!

My sister was just in a wedding, in August, and the bridesmaids all wore LBDs and black shoes. They looked super classy. It’s YOUR wedding, have them wear whatever you want them to.

My bridesmaids all in black dresses, off the shoulder with knee length pickups. They have black heels and willbe holding white roses. I LOVE black and unfortunately could not find a black wedding dress so I comprimised and the girls have the black dresses. We are getting married in Bali Indonesia in the garden/pool area. The dresses look very elegant.
