That’s what I’m doing! My wedding is in May. Our overall color scheme is ivory and black with chartreuse accents. The bridemaids are wearing black tea-length strapless dresses with ivory flowers on them, the guys are wearing black shirts and pants with green ties, and the flower girl is wearing an ivory dress with a green sash that will coordinate with the guys’ ties. The wedding will be outside at 5:00 with a buffet and dancing reception inside. So, yeah-totally appropriate! 😉

I’m having my girls wear black too. Evening spring non-formal wedding. with knee or tea-length black dresses . I haven’t decided yet if we’re going to have a sash or if the flowers will be enough.

I think it could work.  If you’re worried about it being too dark- what about a sash to brighten it up.  Your maids could also wear bright colored shoes.

I’m doing my wedding April 9th and we were worried too but when you think about it. It makes them more comfortable. Black is a very simple color and make you stand out most!!!

Daughter’s friend did an all black and ivory wedding in June. It was beatiful! The girls carried white hydrangeas. Very classy!
