@RockStar33:  Your cat looks so cute with it’s arms crossed like that 🙂

@Miss Apricot:  I have that same cat tower!  My (not black) cat is sleeping on it right now!

I have two black cats and an orange tabby. The black cats were found under DH’s parent’s porch and they were too cute to give away!

Here’s Penguin, we call her Penny. She has white paws and a white belly

And this is Rascal! He is not as innocent as he looks this picture.

I love black cats. I don’t ever worry about that superstition. I would post a pic of Lola but she is not all black, she is orange, white and black and her little feet are white like she’s wearing socks. She is a calico but her predominant color is black.

This is Molly! I adopted her in October of 2010, after a nearby hoarding house was discovered. They took 60 or 70 kittens and cats from the home and she was one of them. She had horrible growths in her eyes and nose from the filth in the home and was really afraid of people. I thought she’d be a perfect addition because I already had another cat and I wanted to adopt one that was used to other animals. They absolutely adore each other and she’s wonderfully healthy now!

Oh I LOVE all these black kitties!!! The only thing bad about a black cat, in my opinion, is that they can make it difficult to photograph them. I swear I have photos of my two sleeping together and my all black girl looks like a black blob.

We’ve talked about a third cat and yesterday went to a friends who has a polydactyl tuxedo she’s been fostering and trying to find a home for that we LOVED. Thinking about it!!

I agree.  That’s the ONLY thing I don’t like about black cats and dogs.  I had a friend in HS who had her senior pics taken with her black lab puppy.  And against the dark blue she was wearing, I couldn’t even tell there was a puppy in the pictures until she pointed it out, and even then it was barely visible, (I wouldn’t have expected a pic like that from a professional photographer, either).

We also have navy bathroom rugs, and when the cat is laying on them, I can’t see or can barely see her when my glasses are off, (okay, so I’m practically blind without my glasses, but STILL!).  My husband and I joke that she’s camoflauging herself!

Did you get yours from Overstock.com, too???  I love it…it’s HUGE, reasonably priced, the CAT loves it….and I put it together myself so I am extra proud.  The only bad things about it are 1.) Our cat almost never uses the levels below the box. because she just climbs straight up the posts (which is hilarious, so it makes up for the wasted levels).  And 2.) It’s cream colored, so it looks nice in our living room, BUT we have a black cat so it’s covered in black fur.

@bestbuddies:  Were you trying to walk Snugs on a leash?? We totally bought a leash at one point and Bumble did the EXACT same thing. I tugged and he just toppled over and layed there. Ha.

Darling Husband and I got “our” first cat just over 2 years ago, when we moved in together. I’ve had a slew of cats through the years (barn cats, indoor cats, not-really-ours-but-neighborhood cats, etc) but Lola is our first black cat. I think, because mostly our cats were farm/barn cats, there were just more tabbys (and lots of calicos!). She’s technically not all black, because she’s a tuxedo but she’s SO adorable. Darling Husband was really adament about not having a tabby, because everyone has a tabby. Although, my black cat seems to shed gray, which is a little annoying on my black jacket

This isn’t the best photo of her, but it’s the only one I have on my laptop right now. This is her white “shirt” of her tuxedo 🙂

My little Hippie was a black cat. I adopted her because she was the sweetest little cat ever. I miss that little lady. 🙁  She had FIP, and I lost her about 3 months ago.
