Probably not the best person to ask because I will pick ivory over black every day of the week and twice on Sundays!

I can see both points of view! I love the contrast of the black.

I also love this pic where the bride wears the light colored fur to contrast with the bridesmaids.

Ok brutal honesty:  the black fur jacket looks goofy as heck with your wedding dress.  That woman in the stock photo looks silly too with her black fur jacket.  It’s hard to tell she’s the bride!  The bridesmaids should definitely wear black ones, but you should stand out from them, not match them.  Go for white fur!!!  It will be glowing and glamorous, especially if you add an oversized rhinestone brooch to it to match the sparkles on your dress.

I voted for black because I wore a black silk shrug and loved the drama of the look. I didn’t buy into the idea that black is somehow non-bridal. These people are your guests. They will know that you are the bride, even if you wear a burlap sack! But if you are going for something more subtle, then black is not the right choice. How do you want to look?

Gosh, your dress is so pretty that I feel like the black fur overpowers it and draws all of our attention to the black.  My vote is for ivory!

I think black would be okay, I just don’t like that jacket. It’s too bulky and the pattern/texture of the sleeves is not flattering.  I think you’d be better off with something more sleek or a black shrug.

Or a cape instead of a jacket like the bride in that picture you posted!

@stargurl101: I did. You can actually see my veil in the photos I posted. It was a floor length lovely. I was anti-veil when I first started shopping, and then I fell in love with a long piece on tulle. It made me really feel like a bride. Who knew? LOL

@lovekiss: I will say that in silk form, this looks much more attractive!

I dislike the black… A Lot, just my opinion

Stargurl: What did you end up picking? I am also getting married Feb 2012 and my style is a lot less traditional than most. I was also leaning towards my fav black leather motorcycle jacket or buy a black fur jacket also.
