Hi all! So, i’ve changed my colors from the typical fall colors because I wanted to use black as an base rather than brown. So now I’m using black, gray, and undecided about an accent color…. I’ve consider yellow but don’t know if that would work… Do you have any ideas?
Do you think black and gray are okay for fall?

I think yellow would definitely work. Or fuschia. I saw a wedding once that was gray and fuschia. One of my favorites ever. I think you really need a bright color to go with the black and gray – you don’t want it to be a depressing event! 🙂

You are lucky, so many colors look good with black and gray. Yellow is great, or you could do a dark orange if you wanted to bring in a "fall" color. We are doing dark orange and black for our wedding (the same day as yours!) and there are so many wonderful flowers in the dark red-orange color. Pink, red, or green would work with black and gray too.

Oooo, add in a jewel tone or two — that would look amazing for fall!

A bright color would go nice with the two darker, more conservative ones.
Yellow, pink, and light green or fuschia would look nice.

I think yellow would definitely work too! I’m thinking more of a buttery yellow as opposed to a sunshine or lemon yellow.
Another option could be a light moss green color.

Thanks for your help, girls! I just have wedding-anxiety, I think. I keep second-guessing this color/decor stuff! 🙂 So now I’m thinking either yellow or raspberry/fuschia!
Do you get worried about if your wedding is going to fit into the season or is it just me?

My colors are black, charcoal, and wine. The whole reason I chose fall is BECAUSE you can choose dark, dramatic colors and get away with it. So in my opinion, your colors are perfect for fall, but maybe that’s just because they’re similar to what I chose!!

Eggplant or a violet as the 3rd color!!!
That would be beautiful.

Purple, yellow, pink, turqouise…there are so many colors that go with your scheme, anything you pick will look great!

a TON go with those two base colors and I think they’d be fine for the fall. I think a deep blue or even a slate/shimmery blue would be elegant.

How about this color palette? I think that a grey would fit in right along with this elegant colorscheme?

Go to Snippet and Ink and search black or gray and see the boards that pop up. That always helps me. Here’s a favorite of mine with black and gray…
