So I’ve been looking for the last 5 months for a specific kind of dress in my mind. I plan on having an outdoors country wedding. I’ve always been offbeat and never envisioned myself in a white dress. I would love to find a black lace dress (not black gothic!!) that is down to the ground with either no train or a small train. I’ve seen some ideas of what I’d love but can’t seem to either find out where to buy it or can’t find the name of it. I’d love if theres any bees that good at looking for stuff that could help out. I’m desperately wanting my black dress and it makes me sad thinking my other option would be to buy a white lace (that my mom would be buying) and then get a short black lace dress for the reception. I’d feel bad wearing the white one for so short.
Here are some of the ideas I like so far:

This one is pretty much exactly what I want..I know its been designed by Ramona Kaveza and apparently retails for $5000.

This is a bridesmaid dress which I love the top! However the rest of the bottom portion is just a plain black straight down material.

And I LOVE this dress on Stacey Keibler…I remember coming across on somewhere but only to find out its not for sale anymore??
I’d appreciate any help and would be overwhelmed if I could actually get the dress of my dreams!!!

I’m sorry I’m not of much help, but I wanted to say that the Kaveza dress is GORGEOUS!!!! Sooooo elegant! I hope you’re able to find a dress you love! =o) If I come across anything I’ll post on here for ya. I know of many white dresses with some black overlay (Mia Solano has a few) but I can’t think of any all black ones right now. Good luck!

Have you considered having one made?

Mori Lee has a black lace option for her dress style 1651. Personally, I think its stunning, but it may not be your taste. Check it out. I’m not sure the price, but pretty much every other dress I’ve seen by her is $1500 or less.

@MadameTussaud: That did actually help….I found one that I semi- liked. Would be a great option if I can’t get an entire black on black dress – thanks!
@aardvark: I did consider that, but I guess I’m afraid it’s going to come out a horror story!
@spoiledvamp27: THANKS so much for posting this dress. Honestly this was the dress I seen in a magazine that got me addicted to trying to find my dream dress. I totally forgot about it and will try to see if I can try it on and see how it goes. I still do love it but was really hoping for lace.

What’s your budget? Have you thought about sending a pic to a replica maker (like dressilyme or another that gets great reviews) and taking a chance? It shouldn’t cost more than $150-300 from what I see on the boards and their web site. If you can spare it, it might be worth a chance!

Could you possibly buy a white or other colored dress, and dye it black? Maybe???

Would you be able to dye a lace gown black? Hm… I’ve seen them dye certain ones reds or blues.
Found this one, but not black on black.

Don’t know what your budget is, but Vera Wang did a whole runway of black and nude dresses for her Fall 2012 campaign- I love them. http://www.verawang.com/wedding/fall-2012/

What is your budget? Vera Wang has a whole line of absolutely drop dead gorgeous black gowns. I wouldn’t wear a black wedding gown, but I would totally buy one for some other event in the future. They are AMAZING!
Edit: I just saw someone posted the exact same thing above me lol.
