This is my gorgeous e-ring:
(Sorry for the huge pic!!)
It’s .68 diamond in the center with 10 diamonds on each side. It’s exactly what I wanted, so perfect for me.
Because I love my ring so much, I want to get FH a ring that he’s going to love. Based on what he was leaning towards when we went try on rings, and what he showed me online, he definitely likes black tungsten, and this is the ring I’m leaning towards getting for him, or one pretty close to this:
It bothered me a little bit that we weren’t going to match, because that was something I had kind of always envisioned, but I was trying to get over it because I had exactly what I wanted and I want FH to have exactly what he wants.
This I stumbled across this beauty:
I didn’t think I wanted a wedding band (they aren’t very common where I live), but now I think I want this. But I’m a little concerned about how it would look next to my e-ring. Has anyone done something like this, a pretty traditional e-ring with a different stone in their wedding band? Do you have pics you can post of them together? How do you think this band would look with my e-ring? Am I crazy for wanting to match FH? All help and pics are very much appreciated!!

Actually….I think that band will make your beautiful diamond pop out in a bold accent of black. I love your FI’s ring though, that is also a great pick. I would say get the matching set, it looks nice!

I just wanted to say I *love* black diamonds. I have a ring with both white and black diamonds that I use as my “stand-in” ring when I can’t wear my real set (outside stuff, basically, or the ocean, etc.) I love it! I got it because it matched DH’s ring, so don’t feel silly! I didn’t get one that goes with my e-ring because my e-ring is super…well, there are few wedding bands that would have worked with it.
FWIW, I vote yes! Get it!
However, this is his ring (his “work ring” that he wears 80% of the time, as he does physical work) and my “work ring” that I wear maybe 15% of the time. Lol. Sorry the picture is TERRIBLE and it doesn’t quite help you?

I think that would look stunning! JessMorgan 777 has a neat set with an amethyst/diamond band.
It’s okay if you have a cordinated set my guy and I have one thats sort of on the same theme. Altough is sort of a simple theme lol:

@BabyBlueEyes: You’re not crazy for trying to match! I did the same thing for a while but it didn’t work with my ring. I say go for it.. It’s gorgeous! Black and white is what I live for I love it!!!!!!!!

I considered getting a black diamond channel for my wedding ring because when we were teenagers he gave me a “ring” piece of plastic from working on a car lol) and it was black. I thought it would be cute. I ended up not getting a wedding band though. I like the idea and I think you should go for it.

I think that’s actually perfect, that band matches both his ring and your e-ring. The black and white is such a cool look too.

Go for it! My band has black diamonds in it, as well as DH’s. I have to say though, I don’t think that ring you picked has black stones. I think the metal is colored black. It’s hard to really tell though.

Go some where to try it on and see if you like it and if you do then go for it. I like being different lol

@BabyBlueEyes: I think something with mixed black and white diamonds set in white metal would look better with your ring than the one you posted and it would still match your FH’s. Or you could get the one you posted and wear your ering on your right ring finger.

@BabyBlueEyes: I am crazy about that wedding band! I think I might have to join that club… 🙂

@BabyBlueEyes: I love the black and white ring so much that I’d like to ask for the link.

@NovaRising: Wow that google images is awesome. Yes that is the site. I HIGHLY recomment Jasmin’s. The owner is a very good friend of my family’s, and FH got my e-ring from him. It is great service, and very great qualitiy diamonds. Very very trustworthy.
