I apologize if this is huge but I found a pretty one if u decide to go that route. I also saw a couple white veils with black dresses.. Interesting idea and it actually looks really nice!

I love the black dress, it’s stunning! I like the idea of a veil as well, but I don’t think it has to be black. Also, you could only wear the veil for the ceremony & then the great back detail will be seen all of your reception 🙂

Have you thought of a birdcage? With the sleeves of your dress, it wouldn’t add more fabric and make you look like s solid black ghost. But i feel as if you wore a white veil, or any white headpiece, it would look really off. If you can’t find a black veil you like enjoy, you could try a sparkly headband.

I wouldn’t do a veil with a black dress. I love a statement black dress, but with a veil? Too much like a widow in mourning.

I think a long sheer one would look nice and you could still see the back. You could even do a white/gold/silver or whatever color trim to give it a little more definition from the dress

I think a black veil might make you look like a widow. The symbolism of that would weird me out a bit if I’m being honest.

I love black wedding dresses, thought I would wear one myself, but I think a black veil might be a little too funereal. A black birdcage veil might work. Alternatively I would probably lean towards either a headpiece (ok, ok I’m a sucker for crowns) or a floral headpiece in rich reds and plumbs. E.g.

Love the black wedding dress! But… as other pp said, might be on the morbid side and overkill. How about off white veil with black lace accent?

Heres a divine and elegant birdcage veil I found. It’s just a pinterest pic but I’m sure there’s heaps on Etsy.

I say go for it! I wasn’t going to wear one either and then I started to regret it so I’m having one made with my dress.

Beautiful!  I like the super long veil pp posted.

For what it’s worth, I wore a black dress and a black veil from the seller pp posted.  I purchased the fingertip length veil.  My dress was tea-length and not nearly as glamourous as yours.

gijanedoe:  I actually think a white veil looks really nice with a black dress.  Saw this picture on another board discussing black dresses and veils:

I love love love a black wedding dress but I think maybe not so much with a black veil.

I like the veils posted above. White with some black detail. Very pretty.
