I definitely think it’s been done.  It will definitely get some reactions.  Not for me…

I would do it! I think what’s important is that a bride feels comfortable and feels like herself… and for some brides, a traditional white bridal gown doesn’t do it for them!  I actually thought I’d be a colored dress bride myself, but then I fell in love with the style of a white gown and purchased it.  So… I say go for it if it’s what you want!

If you’re comfortable and not bothered about the reaction from others than do it!! I’m having an aubergine coloured dress but, not one person that knows me expected a white dress anyway.

I saw a beautiful one on SYTTD but it wasnt black like that dress in your picture. It was basically a white dress that was covered with a thin black tule. It had 3-quarter sleeve and a pink sash. I thought it was so pretty. But black or anything but white/ivory is not for me cuz I dont think my church and my family or the family I’m marrying into would really appreciate it.

I think you should go for it if you want it. I originally wanted a lavender dress but fell in love with a kind of silvery one. I don’t look good in white or black because I’m so pale and both of those just make me look very washed out. I’ve never seen a wedding irl with a black dress, but I’ve seen one with a white dress with black details like sash and petticoat.

I would do it; I think black wedding dresses look awesome; well, any colored wedding dress, really!

I inverted a picture from my wedding, and it kind of made me wish I had gone with a black dress! LOL. (ignore my purple-ish hue..hah).

Definitely not for me either, but, if you really want shock factor, go for it!

Sarah Jessica Parker wore a black dress in her wedding – I’ve never look up pictures, but I’m sure they are out there

It looks really good on some people. I would look like a vampire, so it’s not for me.

I would!! I sorta am. Not all black but lots of it, especially in the skirt portion. (the top is a white corset with black bonining and trim.)

I had a couple all black dresses on my short list though.
