wow, that’s a gorgeous ring!  You can’t go wrong with a plain band.  You could even get a plain band with milgrain to complement your ering.

I’m dng the same. I have a shoulder set diamond e ring and will have a plain palladium band. I found that a blingy wedding band competed against my e ring and the centre diamond was almost completely disguised against the diamonds in the wed band. I’m getting a blingy eternity ring and sandwiching the plain band in between to break up the sparkliness.

The Engagement Ring that we chose together (and is currently being sized etc… so hence no photos) is quite wide & glittery

I have decided that I will team it up with a very narrow and plain white gold W-Band

The advantage here, is there will be times that I will choose to leave my E-Ring at home or locked up somewhere in a safe for activities where I don’t want to see it put at risk either due the activity itself, or the location… so the E-Ring will not be with me when I garden, do extensive cleaning, go snorkelling or scuba diving, or travel to countries or places where my ring would “attract” too much attention…

I am an Encore Bride, so I know what it it like for me to wear a Bridal Set, and what works in my lifestyle and what doesn’t

My Fiance spent a good bit of money on my E-Ring, so it also makes sense for us financially that the W-Band is probably not going to be a circle of diamonds… maybe later on down the road (Milestone Anniversary) we’ll look at Eternity Rings

In which case, I’d wear my Engagement Ring on my right hand… my W-Band on the left twinned up with the Anniversary Ring… and still have the option of mixing things up, or wearing just the W-Band if the situation warrants.

Nice to have some different choices this time round… my first wedding and it was a matched set, that linked together.  It didn’t give me many (any) options, but on the otherhand, it didn’t have much in the way of diamonds (we were very poor University Students at 23 years old)… so no big worries about wrecking the ring, or having it a source of concern whenever we traveled or did things.

I would and do have a blingy e-ring with a plain band. I love it because both stand out really well so you can tell there are two rings. I say go for it! Gorgeous ring, btw!

I love plain bands with blingy rings!!  I actually love plain bands, period.  My band has 5 tiny diamonds in it, which is more than I had planned but the price was right and I pretty much get the best of both worlds!  Here’s my blingy engagement ring and plain(ish) wedding band, I love it!

I have a pave e-ring band with a plain wedding ring.  I wasn’t crazy about it at first, but it is growing on me.  Darling Husband was pretty set on the band being plain.  I do think it makes my e-ring stand out more.
