I took my furbaby on our weekly walk in the State Park on yesterday, in flip flops (I know I know). They were kind of rubbing against my feet, on the bottom but I figured it wouldn’t be too bad. By the time we got done with the walk my feet were killing me! I got home and saw that the rongs, of the flip flops, had been rubbing into the bottoms of my feet the entire time. The circles haev now turned into blisters and I have to walk on my tip toes. What do I do? How long will it take for them to go away? Will they scar my feet? I looooooooove my feet and have always been scared of scarring them. I have no corns or anything…..so this is a big deal to me.

The exact same thing has happened to me. It took a couple days for the blisters to become less painful. Until then, I just dealt with the hurt. No scarring at all. Hope it goes away fast for you!

This happens to me allllll of the time! I must have sensitive tootsies!
I wouldn’t worry too much about scarring – your feet are constantly shedding skin and rejuvenating themselves, that any scarring will be minimal and gone very soon. I once had blisters that took up the entire ball of each foot (no joke – they were like 5in long!) and I had absolutely no scarring whatsoever.
I usually just wrap my feet up in loads of gauze, and wear comfy runners for a few days. The cushioning from the bandages helps with the pain of walking 🙂 Just make sure to take them off the evening when you’re done walking around to let them breathe.
I hope they go away soon for you!

@peacheslea: Thanks! I hope they go away soon too. I can’t wear runners for two reasons: 1) I don’t own any lol 2) I work in the Corporate World. I guess I’ll just have to soak them every night.
