Aww, THANK you everyone! We are so happy with how everything came out! The pictures still make me cry to this day. The whole event was made even more special due to a tragedy we experienced 3 weeks prior. I received a call in the middle of the night that my mom was in the hospital, criticaly ill, and was not expected to make it (!). She was on life support when they called, and I was told to rush home (to NY) to say goodbye. It was a complete shock- she is a very healthy 67 year old! Long story, but after 14 days in the hospital, she was released and has since made a full recovery! She was very weak for the wedding- although she walked me down the aisle, she was in a wheelchair for much of the event… but she was ALIVE to be there! So talk about an emotional rollercoaster, from the worst day of my life (getting that call) to the best day of my life in a three week time period!
Yayyy for dress twins, jackieee and shel_lee_1 !!!! I loved that dress- I originally went in search of something simple with ‘clean lines’ that might best suit my plus-sized frame, and then I saw this ruffled masterpiece on a mannequin and my eyes lit up! It was a complete departure for me and I loved it! It was risky since I was unable to try on the sample and had to order it based on a gut feeling, but it turned out wonderfully 🙂
We got ready at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, but the wedding venue is across the street- it is called the Wintergarden Atrium in the Seaport East building, which is technically an office building. It is usually used for indoor ceremonies for those who have their wedding across the street at the Seaport Hotel. but because we had a small guest list (approx 75), we were allowed to use it for the entire event. I fell in love with the flowing, modern lines of the space as soon as we saw it.
I wish I could go back in time and do it all again, just to experience the details that I was too busy to notice that day 🙂

Such a beautiful wedding! The emotion in both of your faces is totally priceless, and you are right – your photographer was brilliant.
It looks like you and I have the same e-ring, too 🙂

LOL, BoiledPNut, he does look like a sack boy, doesn’t he! But no, he’s ‘Daft Wullie’ from Terry Pratchett’s Wee Free Men books (part of the Discworld series) He’s a member of the Nac Mac Feegles, which are basically 6″ tall ‘pictsies’ that are like miniture, bad-tempered but loveable scottsmen- they drink, steal and fight anything they can. It is my favorite book series! I found a woman from Hungary on Etsy who crocheted all of the characters- random, I know 😉 Anyway, he was pinned to my bouquet as my something blue 🙂
