You can definitely opt out of converting your old posts to your new name, I only recently converted mine-admittedly to up my post count… for shame!

i merged my accounts after i got married but they were separate before that – you can definitely keep them separate if you want!

It’s up to you- you can start over with your blogging handle or merge the accounts. I had about 20 comments when I became a blogger bee, but I still merged anyway 🙂  The former usernames disappear into the universe to hang out with disregarded twitter handles and former facebook names.

If you don’t want to lose the anonymity you can keep them seperate. I couldnt rememebr if I posted anything too personal, so I asked to keep them seperate. 🙂
